Product Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Product Management Director is responsible for the development and execution of product strategy, the supervision of Product Managers, and the P&L for their Reports' states. In addition, this role oversees new product development, distribution strategy, vendor relationships, and operations related to product design, medical management, cost reduction and claims payment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and drives business strategy in order to meet stated objectives regarding revenue growth and profitability of products
- Directs the profitability, conservation, refinement and expansion of existing business and implementation of any new product structures
- Maintains and grows a relationship between the Company and key distribution partners
- Directs the profitability, conservation, refinement and expansion of existing business and implementation of any new product structures
- Identifies, refines, and implements product adjustments to improve product competitiveness
- Directs state and product efforts with IT, Sales, Compliance, Marketing, Finance and other areas both within the division and throughout the enterprise
- Analyzes and evaluates monthly and quarterly financial results while identifying and developing areas of opportunity for improvement and growth and takes necessary actions to meet corporate goals
- Communicates results and strategic outcomes with Executives
- Identifies, refines, and implements product adjustments to improve product competitiveness

Preferred Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 12 or more years of related experience

Functional Skills
- Proven leadership and execution of successful strategies
- Highly proficient in managing and manipulating data in Excel, Access, and preferably in SAS
- Adept at SharePoint
- General knowledge of insurance policies, products and concepts
- Expert verbal and written communication skills
- Expert ability to organize and analyze complex data sets
- Expert analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to maintain a working knowledge of all rating and product activities within their geographic scope
- Ability to develop, present, and execute effective business plans and budgets to meet corporate goals
- Expertise with DOI and legal regulations as pertains to P&C insurance products and services
