About the Role

The Product Ops Analyst is responsible for building and maintaining the foundation of excellence for supporting G2 product strategy and product lines.  This will involve supporting all of G2’s Product lines: g2.com, myG2, G2 Content, G2 Insights, among others. This involves supporting Product R&D disciplines that create and maintain those product lines: market research, design, product management, engineering, SEO & Content, Customer Outreach, Review QA.  The candidate will be an enabler more than an owner, helping with a range of different supporting activities depending on the company's needs.  This could range from ways-of-working, product delivery process  improvement, or tool evaluation.

In this role you will:

  • Work cross-functionally to investigate process opportunities and identify how to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations. 
  • Refine and establish process metrics to ensure operational performance is healthy, transparent, learned from, and celebrated
  • Support our monthly department wide metric reporting (V2MOM) and mitigation to ensure any degradations to our primary and secondary Product R&D metrics are addressed
  • Help collect and refine best practice recommendations, as well as continuously look for ways to improve processes and internal tools
  • Enable the Product R&D team to perform at their best by providing best practices and support for keeping our tools, systems, and SOPs updated
  • Partner with department leads and project managers to help translate complex problems and opportunities into actionable plans that are data backed and easily communicated with word, visual, and process maps
  • Set the standard for operational excellence around trustworthy and reliable data

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years product ops, consulting,  business / data analysis, or similar experience in a tech company
  • You are a fast learner, who is able to spot problems and solve them with minimal oversight
  • You have a strong sense of ownership and have frameworks to help you prioritize
  • Passion for solving complex problems and building effective, scalable processes
  • Belief that processes exist to enable, not control
  • Demonstrable mastery of reporting and analysis methods and tools (Excel/Sheets, Salesforce Dashboards & Reporting, Looker)
  • Ability to storytell with data to drive clarity and alignment
  • Excellent documentation skills, including written and visual process mapping
  • Track record of building successful cross-functional relationships to drive results and remove roadblocks
