The Opportunity

DAT is looking for a Product Manager to join our DAT iQ Product Management team at our brand new Denver, CO headquarters.

Please come and join an awesome team of Product Managers that are responsible for the DAT iQ analytics portfolio – a true FreightTech market leader in North America.  We are looking for a tech Product Manager professional with experience using data to solve customer problems and building technology-powered products that customers love.  You will be charged with bringing compelling products to market in this greenfield opportunity by developing a keen understanding of the marketplace and critical pain points in the very hot $1T freight and logistics market.  Working closely with DAT’s growing data science team, you’ll develop a pipeline of innovative products with features that leverage analytics and deliver unparalleled market insights.

NOTE: This position will require the ability to come into the office 2-3x/week in our Denver, Colorado (DTC) office. Location: 5050 S. Syracuse Street.

Candidate Profile

  • Experienced tech Product Management professional.
  • Business and technical savvy, along with excellent communications skills.
  • High comfort level and aptitude for data and analytics.
  • Experience working within the agile/scrum development processes.
  • Passionate about working cross-functionally to drive and deliver solutions from ideation through go-to-market.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead your cross-functional product team, generally comprised of a product manager, a product designer, and several development engineers.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the DAT business, marketplace, buyer/user personas, product insight usage data and the competitive landscape.
  • Manage the entire product life cycle, from ideation to discovery, from execution to launch, from ongoing enhancements to maintenance mode.
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the business to balance level-of-effort, risk, and opportunity size in order to prioritize your product roadmap.
  • Collaborate closely with product design and development to discover effective solutions that solve real customer problems that simultaneously work for the DAT business, then work together to deliver those solutions to market.
  • Determine scope with a viciousness for end-user value that drives DAT business value, using discovery methods that rely on data to validate hypotheses about product and feature value.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, positioning, key benefits, and target customer.

Skills You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Product Management techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery used to find solutions to hard problems with many constraints.
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience, responsible for SaaS technology-powered products in the data science or analytics centric space,
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, designers, product designers, development engineers, data ops, data science, user research, marketing, sales, legal and company leaders in constructive and collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to deeply learn multiple functional areas of business – engineering, design, finance, sales, or marketing – and
  • Ability to demonstrate creative problem solving, thoughtful product scoping, and flexibility in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience working in agile/scrum development processes and lean methodology.


For Colorado-based candidates, in compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the minimum salary for this role is $120,000.00 + benefits. The maximum compensation for this role can vary significantly depending on your job-related skills and experience. DAT considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education and training, core skills, internal equity, and market and business elements when extending an offer.
