The Opportunity:
The ideal candidate will have a product management background, experience leading large highly technical projects, and have a well-rounded technical background in current SaaS technologies. A great product manager sits at the intersection of business, technology, and creativity. Ideal candidates for this role will possess a strong technical background working with technical architects and developers. The candidate should also have a business background that enables them to support a process of researching, analyzing, and reporting on business development activity. You'll be customer-centric, strategic, detail-oriented, and highly creative driving the following primary responsibilities:
- Build product plans and roadmaps that work to continuously make our core platform services more stable, scalable, and extensible as we continue to grow out platform.
- Manage and unify multiple platform related technical product initiatives across the organization
- Manage schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development, launch, and enhancements
- Drive our developer tools and API's evolution to support Genesys and our customers initiatives and needs
- Work with across the service teams, integration teams, security/compliance teams, partner community, and our developer community to ensure their needs are met
- Participate in specific sales opportunities (customer demos, roadmap alignment meetings, marketing events etc.)
- Collaborate with other groups within the company to orchestrate successful product outcomes including: Engineering, Design, Technical Program Management, Delivery, Support, Customer Success, and Product Marketing
Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years' Product Management or Software development experience in a Cloud/SaaS Software services model
- Sufficient technical depth and business acumen to identify risk of future issues
- Innovative mindset to surface and advocate for alternate approaches and solutions to business and technology challenges
- Effective communication with engineering teams to clarify requirements as well as with cross functional teams to understand and work through their dependencies
- Understanding of cloud architecture and fundamentals of defining scalable multi-tenant systems and microservices based architectures.
- Industry experience in Customer Care, Sales, or Digital Marketing strong plus
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including business, technical, and creative teams
- Experience with developing and managing functional/feature requirements necessary to build highly engaged experiences.
- Experience with Design Thinking principals and methodologies a plus
- Have extensive experience with developer-first and API-first development
- Have experience building complex technical products
- Have experience building products that run in public cloud environments using microservices architectures
