Product Manager

The Esper team is looking for a Product Manager to help lead the feature definition and delivery of our products that go beyond the screen and empower developers and companies to remotely scale and manage their mission-critical edge devices.
As Product Manager at Esper, you will be responsible for the features in Esper that support the deployment and management of our customers device fleets that help run their business. Within Esper itself, this includes our Cloud APIs, SDK, and Console experience. While these features are the most important among our Esper offerings, they also provide the foundation for the future we will create.
What you'll be doing:
- Working with enterprise customers to understand how they currently manage their device fleets and identify areas of opportunity to introduce modern DevOps practices
- Help define the Product roadmap while driving sprint planning and prioritization for the team
- Work cross-functionally with Esper’s design and engineering teams to develop new concepts for extending Esper’s ability to remotely scale and manage edge devices
- Help the team define and track key success metrics
- Collaborate with marketing on messaging, positioning, and GTM plans
- Routinely work with APIs
- Be hands-on with Product tasks as they come up
You might be a good fit if you have:
- 4-5 years of experience as a Product Manager
- Interest in IoT and DevOps. Bonus if you have experience using or building DevOps solutions in the past
- Passion and ability to have deep technical discussions, specifically when it comes to APIs
- A positive attitude and thrive being a servant leader and motivator
- Ability to use data to guide you and know when to rely on your great product instincts
- Deep user empathy and the ability to build relationships with key customers
- Passions for improving how product managers, designers, and engineers all work together.
- You thrive in the fast-paced, changing environment of a startup, while maintaining a sense of humor and get-it-done personality.
Here are some projects you could work on:
- Researching the needs of Esper users to come up with new ideas for how we could potentially help them with the management of their device fleets
- Helping the engineering team scope and execute on a new way to streamline remote device management
- Identifying strategic opportunities to partner and collaborate with Cloud DevOps leaders
