Department Overview
The CommandCentral Suite Experience Product Management team owns the overall cohesiveness and experience of CommandCentral. Focused on helping any CommandCentral Product team align to common practices and services and identifying gaps in the the overall CommandCentral user experience.
The product managers work closely with other product managers to understand individual product needs and roadmaps, help identify areas of overlap with other products, and help drive a consistent and cohesive experience.
Job Description

  • We are hiring a Product Manager to drive the product experience for CommandCentral. This product manager will be responsible for coordination and collaboration between various products on the CommandCentral Platform. They will craft a consistent and intuitive experience across the platform, and work with our UX, Product Mangers, and engineering teams to deliver a world-class experience when interacting with CommandCentral Products.

  • The role is responsible for developing and maintaining a big-picture vision and roadmap that supports CommandCentral's strategic goals for its applications. The product manager validates and develops ideas based on industry experience and contact with customers and internal key stakeholders. This individual must possess a strong blend of business and technical skills and must enjoy spending time in the market to understand the customers’ needs.

  • An ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a cross-matrixed, distributed, and highly collaborative team environment. We are seeking an exceedingly organized, results-oriented individual, who knows how to redirect around pitfalls, negotiate backlog priority, and remain flexible and positive in an ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with user experience/human factors teams to develop workflows across products and in areas that are common

  • Work with application owners across the business to ensure a consistent suite level experience

  • Work closely with other Product Managers to be aware of their roadmaps, help identify commonalities and overlap across products

  • Form and articulate vision, strategy and requirements to stakeholders, engineering, CIE and other business partners

  • Communicate with other Product Managers to coordinate production of features with cross-product dependencies and deliverables

  • Track progress of dependent backlog items and communicate status to key stakeholders

  • Be fanatic about the overall user experience when interacting with multiple products

  • Take initiative on reaching out to any product coming into the CommandCentral space and identify gaps in platform functionality that the product might need

  • Evangelize the big picture of CommandCentral to all teams and help them think outside their own application and how it might need to interact with other applications

  • Negotiate with teams on priority of backlog items where multiple products leverage a single service or application

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner.

  • Program Manager or Project Manager experience is a plus

  • Drive to reach across organizational boundaries and keep the bigger picture in mind

  • Self-directed, operationally minded and experience partnering with UX and multiple engineering teams

  • Experience in driving efforts to unify multiple experiences into a single, cohesive experience

  • BS or graduate degree (MS or MBA is a plus)

  • Strong decision-making and prioritization skills; with experience overseeing and managing production schedules.

  • Technical Knowledge of Cloud and Services, including engineering and design collaboration tools (Jira, Aha)

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.

  • Consumer product experience with a history of managing various simultaneous projects

Basic Requirements

  • 3+ years experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner or similar experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
