ABOUT THE JOB:

The Product Manager is passionate about building products that customers love. They work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be obsessed with the customer and their journey! Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Successfully manages new product launches
  • Continuously makes contributions to team vision & strategy
  • Investigates and proposes competitive product strategies to support traffic growth
  • Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
  • Define requirements and collaborate with design and development to define, implement, deploy, A/B test, measure and refine new features
  • Develop metrics-supported strategies for driving engagement and conversion
  • Drive product launches including working with public relations team, executives, and other product management team members
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Define data and reporting requirements and drive implementation with the data engineering and business intelligence teams
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating resources in an effective and timely manner and demonstrate respect for others
  • Cultivate effective engineering and design team partnerships to deliver world-class solutions, serving as the product owner in an agile environment

Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Licensure/Certification:

  • Product Management certification a meaningful plus
  • Agile and/or Professional Scrum Product Owner certification (not required)
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (not required)

Experience:

  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager preferably
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies OR strong domain knowledge in the focus area for the specific product line this role supports.
  • At least 2 years of digital marketplace or tech product management experience

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current SEO strategies
  • Understanding of online marketing
  • Knowledge of HTML markup and web development
  • Knowledge of server technologies (caching, environments, logging)
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Stands up for decisions, takes responsibility for results, and shares both good and bad outcomes transparently.
  • Demonstrates a relentless focus on results with a commitment to deliver; Always starts with a "Let's go GRIND it out" attitude.

  • Location: Remote
  • Frequency of travel: Occasional travel may be required for meetings, training and/or conferences.
  • Light physical activities and efforts required in working within an office environment.
