The Product Manager will guide product strategy for our Hematology Product portfolio. In addition, the incumbent will collect Voice of Customer (VOC) to drive new product development.

This position is part of Product Management/Marketing located in Miami, FL and will be Hybrid. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be part of the Hematology Product Management team and report to the VP of Product/Program Management responsible for upstream marketing support and working closely with Global & Regional Marketing, Program Management, R&D, Applications, Service, Sales and other technical teams to assess and communicate your product strategy. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Drive upstream marketing support to perform product and life cycle management including, design, development, production, growth, and maintenance while meeting annual sales and profit objectives for assigned products
  • Understand customer needs and validate solutions and understand and support assigned product(s) as product subject matter expert
  • Capture inputs, establish direction, and formulate new product features for development. Solves unique and complex problems for a broad impact on the product line. Advise Global Marketing on value propositions, collateral, tools and claims matrix
  • Demonstrate an end user focus, gaining customer insights, and establishing relationships with industry Key Opinion Leaders (KOL)
  • Perform research and analysis to identify competitive strengths and weakness that will be coordinated into NPD and training tools
  • Anticipate and identify market trends and needs for products and ensure that product designs are matched to customer demand and will deliver profitable market share and liaison to the commercial team for positive customer interfaces
  • Collaborate closely with internal partners: global marketing, regional marketing, and procurement to increase revenues and profitability; Marketing to ensure successful launch and positioning; finance and procurement to develop pricing models; Quality and regulatory to provide commercial expertise, R&D and program management to drive NPD and commercial activities are completed



The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Medical field or MLS (ASCP) certification with 9+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record in upstream product marketing (minimum 3 years)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work optimally and collaborate with cross-functional teams of R&D, global/regional marketing, regulatory, clinical, quality and operations.
  • Solid understanding of FDA requirements and product development process guidelines in a global regulatory environment
  • Domestic and international travel required, 25% estimated



It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • MBA degree
  • Related experience with hematology or urinalysis products
  • Medical device industry or IVD regulated environment
