Job Description

Position Summary: 

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our growing team on our Mariana Tek product. You'll be responsible for developing a crisp understanding of the customer, identifying opportunities to deliver customer value, iterating towards continued product market fit, and delivering a differentiated offering to the boutique fitness industry. You will work closely with an existing product team that includes software engineers, designers, and user researchers.

Location: Remote

Job Responsibilities: 

• Develop a command of the boutique fitness market through customer engagement, supporting research efforts, and competitive analysis.

• Engage current and prospective customers to understand their core problems, business practices, and future plans 

• Identify areas of improvement with your existing domain area and fresh opportunities to thrill the market 

• Engage internal stakeholders to coordinate product releases, support the public narrative for feature releases, and develop internal and external training materials.

• Deliver clear and comprehensive product requirements to provide guidance to the development team 

• Own the management and grooming of a product backlog ensuring tickets are ready to be pulled into upcoming sprints. 

• Support rapid iteration, beta launches, and user testing to clarify understanding of customer pain points and test assumptions.

• Engage sales, marketing, and customer support to capture customer feedback and to ensure prompt and seamless delivery to the market 

• Align your product roadmap with the broader product strategy and find balance in delivery between long term investments, shorter term wins, and tech debt 

• Partake in the Scrum process and help drive effective scrum ceremonies including standups, grooming sessions, sprint planning, and retrospectives. 

• Ability to focus on customer value and identify MVP iterations that deliver on that value with the least amount of time, effort and risk 

• Engage with design, research, and development to clearly articulate customer pain points and build a process for effective problem solving 

Qualifications

Experience /Education:

• 3+ years experience as a Product Manager 

• 2+ years experience working within SaaS products preferred (B2B2C or B2B)

• Strong track record working effectively with engineering, design, research, and marketing colleagues required

• Experience working in an Agile environment 

• Experience working with Jira is a plus

Work Skills/Personal Characteristics:

• Passion for fitness, our vision, and the problems we are solving

• Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative data analysis, or willingness to learn.

• Be a self-starter; we’re a small team and tend towards self-direction under the umbrella of our team goals.

• Be comfortable making decisions to move your team forward or outlining a plan to work through ambiguity

• Strong organizational skills. Be able to manage multiple initiatives at different stages. 

• Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.

• Experience giving and receiving constructive feedback from varying teams.
