Job Summary

Cox Media Group is looking for a Product Manager, Social IQ to join our team!

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Product Manager - Social is responsible for managing the Social IQ Product lines for Cox Media Group, which consists of Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and future social opportunities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Responsible for ensuring that Social IQ digital revenue is sustained and grows into the future.
  • Responsible for increasing the profitability of these products, as well as developing new products based on market requirements.
  • Key member of the CMGdigital team at Cox Media Group, which supports the digital revenue efforts of all CMG properties, which include TV & Radio.
  • Possess a deep understanding of specifics to Display, Retargeting, Mobile, Social and Native as well as emerging technology and trends.
  • Act as the key product champion internally and will have the ability to shepherd ideas from conception to implementation.
  • Focus on internal and external marketing of CMG's Social IQ Products, as well as charged with increasing both revenue and profitability of CMG's Social IQ Product line.
  • Partner closely with the Operations and Analytics teams, as well as the Cox Media Group Technology and Finance teams.
  • Solicit feedback and quickly build consensus around decisions affecting the Social IQ product line
  • Analyze and report product adoption to drive subsequent Social IQ Product strategies
  • Will work closely with marketing resources to develop collateral material to evangelize the Social IQ Product line offerings to the digital sales teams across CMG markets

JOB DUTIES:

40% Act as coach, advocate and champion for the Social IQ product line. Evaluating

strategies to maximize bottom line revenue and build efficiencies with Social IQ vendors and internal resources.

20% Regularly and systematically collect feedback from the markets on Social IQ product performance. Regularly review and re-evaluate competitive landscape comparing features, pricing, design and overall competitiveness; monitor share trends (competitors vs. CMG). Drive the Social IQ Product roadmap with market demand, monetization and ROI in mind.

40% Develop, validate and maintain value proposition for products with markets. Provide Social IQ product marketing collateral and training materials. Educate local sales teams on products in collaboration with in-field resources (Digital Specialist, Digital Campaign Manager). Provide ongoing support of market-level product training to achieve market-set targets. Update materials and collateral as needed to accurately reflect the changed or updated features and benefits of the product line.

What we look for

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, computer sciences or related field
  • At least 5 years' experience in the Digital Advertising space
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge with the overarching display landscape and digital advertising overall, including Display, Retargeting, Mobile, Social and Native.
  • Demonstrated experience and familiarity with the display vendors.
  • Familiarity with Small and Medium Size businesses / local digital advertising trends
  • Solid business acumen with exceptional knowledge of marketing, sales, and development processes
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of various technology development processes / methodologies required; knowledge of Agile development desired
  • Demonstrated history of technology-based innovation and problem solving; high use of mobile and social media required
  • Ability to articulate stakeholder needs and define / drive product requirements documentation throughout the development life cycle
  • Ability to develop strong, working relationships across all CMG levels and deliver solid results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of the organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated bias for customer service
  • Ability to manage conflict, negotiations and stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to work in a results-oriented, rapidly changing, dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires collaboration across multiple stakeholders and constituents
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office
  • 25% travel expected during steady-state
