About the Role: 
PitchBook’s Product Manager, Private Capital Fundraising leads the development of tools and initiatives for IR/Fundraising teams at General Partners and Service Providers. They work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute the department’s product roadmap. This position plays a key role by defining and prioritizing their roadmap and leading Go-To-Market efforts to ensure product success. The Product Manager, Private Capital Fundraising also helps mentor new and junior Product Managers on PitchBook’s product and Product Management processes at PitchBook.
This team within PitchBook’s Product organization is laser-focused on strategic product initiatives that grow and engage our Limited Partner, Investor Relations and Service provider clients. The team ruthlessly prioritizes development efforts to drive both increased user engagement and increased win rates vs competitors. 
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Validate client needs, pain points and business opportunities through ongoing user and market research
  • Be a subject matter expert on Investor Relations / Fundraising teams at General Partners and a resource for team members across PitchBook 
  • Actively define product roadmap prioritization and create business cases for new opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute your product roadmap
  • Identify and manage Go-To-Market activities that boost your projects’ effectiveness
  • Create detailed functional specifications from prioritized requirements
  • Communicate requirements and technical details to stakeholders and engineering teams
  • Continuously improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes
  • Establish project goals, measure your business impact and identify additional opportunities for success
  • Give compelling presentations to stakeholders on projects and vision
  • Be a resource for junior team members on the Product Management process
  • Support the vision and purpose of the company through role modeling and encouraging PitchBook values
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Math, Finance or related field
  • 3+ years of product management experience 
  • Bias for action and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what is necessary to meet team goals
  • Experience gathering customer-centric requirements and writing functional specification documents
  • Superior attention to detail including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong audience awareness 
  • Demonstrated ability to generate insights and opportunities from user behavior and usage data 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Strong understanding of private capital investment/portfolio management
  • Familiarity with the private capital fundraising cycles 
  • A proven record of shipping high impact digital solutions
  • Ability to generate valuable insights from large data sets
