Role Synopsis:
bp has undergone a major transformation over the past 15 months, with a focus on growing our digital capability. We are seeking an exceptional individual with a focus on business, customer solutions and user experience for the Product Manager role.
As part of the Innovation & Engineering (I&E) team that supports the Trading & Shipping entity (T&S) within bp, you will manage services within the Price Management area.
Pricing services underpin the T&S valuations process(es) through ingestion of external/internal pricing data for the purpose of valuing trades and to enable financial reporting.
Working closely with business collaborators you will be responsible for service and project delivery within the pricing area helping I&E enable the trading organization through digital capability and enhancement.
Critical to role success will be possession of technical ability to communicate with globally distributed team of architects, developers, support engineers and business users to understand, shape and deliver solutions.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced, distributed, agile environment.
As Product Manager your teams, will deliver, and support solutions used globally in Singapore, London, Houston, and Chicago.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage and maintain relationships with key team members including product owners and the portfolio manager for TVC&P (Trader Voice, Compliance & Pricing).
- Ensure "silent running" BAU service delivery for systems which support the trading activity through team monitoring and continual improvement.
- Manage and direct
- Working directly with users, analysts, and the team to lead all aspects of the technical completion of requirements.
- Participating and contributing to key delivery ceremonies e.g. scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives.
- Acting in accordance with professional engineering practices, digital & cyber security best practice, Internet standard protocols, coding standards and reviews, source control management, build processes, automation, testing and operations.
- Contributing to and sharing standard methodologies in database analysis, design management, and data integrity to ensure optimized system performance.
- Monitor emerging technologies, identify those with potential and bring relevant new ideas to the team. e.g. cloud and software development
- Alignment to the development standards, methods and practices established on the team globally including the human experience design elements.
- Produce and maintain concise/meaningful technical and functional documentation and designs.
- Provide prototypes and participate in PoC's(proof of concepts) for initiatives as needed.
- Demonstrating a passion and desire to contribute in support of the T&S business.
