About the Role
Uber's vision of igniting opportunities everywhere and for everyone is only realised if customers in our marketplace can seamlessly pay for services on our platform, and we in turn can pay our partners. The Uber Money team is an integral and crucial part of realizing that vision. Money is a sensitive topic for every interaction on our marketplaces. Our mission is to ensure the experience of paying and being paid is as seamless, personal and ubiquitous as possible. As a PM on the Uber Money Platform team, you'll be responsible for helping shape this experience, thus impacting the business growth and engagement.
Uber's Money Movement platform is a ledger that orchestrates the movement of money between all users on our marketplaces (riders, drivers, couriers, restaurants, eaters, shippers, carriers etc.), processing orders at the scale of 10s of millions per day. Being the core engine behind offering any service on the marketplace, it's essential to ensure the platform is reliable enough to handle the scale of our operations while versatile and flexible enough to handle the varying use cases we offer through our different Lines of Businesses.
What You'll Do
• Drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of the next-generation billing and payments platform that will further enable the scaling of Uber's line of businesses and will drive new business models across the globe.• As a platform PM, you are a builder that enjoys being in the weeds with the engineering teams and obsesses about customer needs, partner needs, and developer needs. You have technical aptitude and you enjoy working on problems around scale, maintainability, and architectural design for product lines, building beautiful, simple APIs, and are able to clearly communicate what the service does in a way that lets users integrate with it easily.• Build functionality that spans multiple product lines while thinking of global solutions. The role demands both, seeing the big picture and identifying strategically important problems, as well as the ability to investigate opportunities for meaningful product changes that are a business enabler and engagement driver.
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience Product Management experience.• Proven business sense - you can see how impacting one lever in a complex system affects many others.• Proven passion for building platforms and products at scale.• Not afraid to dive into metrics and data whether it's to diagnose a problem, evaluate a solution or propose a new critical metric. You have experience using analytics tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years experience delivering highly successful and innovative products with your fingerprints all over them - you're proud of what you've accomplished.• Deep expertise in payments / financial services product management preferred, both on B2B and B2C sides. Proven passion for building platforms and products at scale.
At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 10,000 cities around the world.
We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let's move the world forward, together.
