We are looking for customer-focused, collaborative and strategic individuals with a strong passion for product leadership to join our ONESOURCE Platform team in the role of Product Manager. ONESOURCE platform is continuing to experience rapid growth powering the ONESOURCE Tax & Trade application portfolio. This Product Manager role is critical to delivering the right capabilities for the platform components and productizing key components of the platform for external customers. It's an exciting opportunity to participate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment working on our most modern capabilities.

As Product Manager, you will work with internal and external stakeholders (internal cross-functional teams, certified implementation partners, customers, and prospects) to identify market problems, use scenarios, implementation strategies, go to market activities, and best practices. You will apply your knowledge and experience to transform market-driven and internally-generated business needs and requirements into stories using a variety of methodologies: interviewing, market validation, beta programs, and others.

You will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of market problems, and you will help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

About the Role

In the role of Product Manager - ONESOURCE platform you will:

  • Contribute to complete product lifecycle including customer research, market requirements, product release plans, user story and success criteria authoring, and product launch activities
  • Contribute to the definition of the product roadmap, product design, and new product ideas
  • Ensure product releases are delivered with passion, pace, and predictability
  • Be a co-owner of the product roadmap and present product plans to global internal stakeholders in a professional and passionate way
  • Be a champion for agility and pace by ensuring the product development process for this product is aligned to the new ways of working within the organization
  • Be the "voice of the product" to key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and the product development team is getting the direction and support it needs to be successful.
  • Participate in post-launch product management including design, development, and release activities.
  • Work with architecture, engineers, data scientists, and user experience teams to determine the right solutions to develop faster, better, and cost-effective solutions
  • Prioritize work and make strategic trade-off decisions during the development cycle with a focus on delivering immediate business value with shorter release cycles.
  • Partner with strategy teams, sales, internal stakeholders, and customers to validate requirements, priorities and refine requirements for broad market
  • Monitor market changes and trends to formulate and communicate competitive product positioning and identify opportunities for current and future business consideration
  • Participate in the creation of a strong story around why customers should choose this solution from Thomson Reuters.
  • Leverage customer insights from user experience research and analytics to iteratively drive continuous solution improvement
  • Foster a sense of urgency to achieve goals and leverage resources to overcome unexpected obstacles
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional team(s) without formal authority



About You

You're a fit for the role of Product Manager if you have:

  • Self-starter who leads discussions with customers, prospects, certified implementation partners, and other internal stakeholders to gather market problems/requirements.
  • Work closely with customers, partners, and other Thomson Reuters colleagues across all aspects of the business to maintain a deep and well-rounded understanding of their platform needs.
  • Continuously review and analyze the existing platform product functionalities to develop and maintain your knowledge for improving or further leveraging our solutions for the global end-to-end tax and trade market.
  • Prepare detailed user requirements along with use scenarios, use cases, PowerPoint presentations, and other documents to explain requirements internally and externally.
  • Support the product development process, working closely with our Development, Quality Assurance, and Technical Publication teams throughout the whole product life cycle, feature validation as well as preparing the entire organization for product release.
  • Experience with requirements analysis and documenting requirements, use case development, information systems, business operations, and integration/design of technical enterprise solutions
  • At least 3 years of experience as Product Manager for software solutions worked in the areas of API governance and management, workflow and collaboration, and databases.
  • Bachelor's degree: Business Administration / Management, Tax / Accounting / Finance
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Bug tracking and communication applications preferred (JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Deep analytical skills and ability to draw appropriate conclusions based on the product data & insights.
  • Previous work experience leading teams and projects within a software company is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer-facing experience and skills.
  • Robust organizational and planning skills.
  • General business acumen that supports making quick decisions.
  • Strong desire to learn and must be highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a professional and cooperative attitude.
  • Self-starter who works well both independently and on a team.
  • Some travel (5-10%) required.



Preferred qualifications:

  • Technical product management experience
  • Strong technical skills with a sound understanding of digital technologies
  • Proven track record of end-to-end successful product delivery
