About the Role
Job Description- Product Manager, Risk Product Management
The Risk team at Uber builds the foundation which ensures that we handle risk and fraud for all the 60+ markets that Uber is available in. Crafting risk management products which handles the risk exposure across payments, riders and eaters incentives and promotion fraud, along with other fraudulent activities such as collusion - these are for the business to deliver their P&L and profitability goals, while continuing to deliver on the 'magical experience' that our users are accustomed to is core to this charter.
The role demands a deep background in product management, product leadership, risk, payments, and the ability to operate in a highly technical environment with strong focus on product and market strategy, collaborate effectively across local compliance teams and manage partners, both internal and external is also required.
What Candidate will do
As a PM of Risk team, candidate will set out the northstar for Earner risk management components which will cover Earner fraud, Promo campaign abuse, Airport fraud, Long hauling and GPS spoofing etc. Candidate will be responsible for building out the risk management capabilities across user - both spenders and earners along with merchants, transaction risk management.
The candidate will work on marketplace risk management charters which will include

  1. Earner fraud foundational work
  2. Uber for Business for earner-
  3. Rides business Promo and Incentive abuse
  4. Airport fraud

Basic Qualifications

  • Domain expertise in payment and risk. Global risk management experience is a plus.
  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent, a masters degree is preferred
  • Excellent track record of working with engineering, data, and design teams, with solid examples to prioritize work across the team.
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills with a confirmed ability to influence partners.
  • Proven ability to develop deep customer empathy and articulate customer problems.
  • At least 4 years of experience leading a product charter

Prefered Qualifications

  • Relevant global payments, risk, fintech, experience
  • Running payments and risk or a marketplace is preferred
