Product Manager for Digital Consumer Marketing

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Formulating product strategy for sustainable differentiation and validating market opportunities for growth identifying and articulating market requirements that define the product's features set, in line with product strategy.
  • Create business cases for product investments and secure internal and external stakeholder buy-in
  • Collaboration with Engineering & Design to balance innovative vision with practicality Building and maintaining prioritized product backlog fed by:
    • Product strategy
    • Customer feedback & interviews
    • User research (in partnership with User Experience Design)
    • Competitive analysis
  • Recruiting customers to act as "advisor users" to co-create innovative products Educating sales team on messaging that works Roadmap & Release management Writing product requirements documents Performing market research Meeting customers for needs analysis
  • Partner with GTM, pricing, marketing and sales teams to create successful offer launches
  • Analyze Build/Buy/Partner models to launch new service offers and manage vendor and partner relationships
  • Represent NCR at industry events including customer advisory boards, user groups and other forums



Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years proven experience in a Product Manager or similar role
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent work experience or related technical field
  • Prior experience in technical / software field
  • A great attitude; people like working with you
  • Curiosity & thirst for learning, and ability to do it quickly
  • Outside-in, data-backed orientation
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong, trusting relationships
  • Ability to simplify the complex
  • Prioritization across tactical/strategic, customer/market
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Familiarity with Agile framework
  • Problem-solving aptitude & creative thinking skills

  • Entrepreneurial nature, nose for innovation that matters
  • Problem-solving aptitude & creative thinking skills
  • Familiarity w/ modern software trends (SaaS, Cloud, Telemetry, etc.)
  • Knowledge areas: Loyalty Marketing, Promotions, Retail, Hospitality, CRM, Campaign Management, Predictive analytics, CRM Architecture, Customer Data Management, Omni Channel, User Experience
  • Experience with MS Office Suite and Product Management tools (i.e.: Visio, or Atlassian tools -Jira, Confluence)
  • This position requires 20% travel (domestic and international possible)



Preferred Experience:

  • Technical experience (software development, product management, technical sales, etc.)
  • Pragmatic or other product management certifications
  • Understanding and knowledge of the Retail grocery market strongly preferred
  • Openness to take additional responsibilities and stretch assignments
