The Technical Product Manager (Data) is responsible for leading the data scrum teams as Product Owner. You will use your deep product and data experience to work with stakeholders to “build the thing right,” through the SDLC and Product Life Cycle. 

Our products are all powered by the data we capture, and we need someone with a strong data background to be able to harness this data with an eye for how this data can be turned into insights and actions.

  • Is technologically savvy and can understand what data is capable of and the language to collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, engineers, and product people alike.
  • Take extreme ownership and pride yourself on you and your team making executing at a high level
  • Can manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, from concepts to deliverables.
  • Comfortable with feedback and adapts quickly to changing information.
  • Are thrilled by achieving difficult objectives
  • Are able to and has a proven track record of delivering quality products and features under all circumstances, whether you have 5 months, or 5 days to accomplish the goal. 
  • A humbleness that reminds you to always listen and understand before forming your own opinion
  • A compelling and unique point of view.  

ABOUT THE ROLE 

  • Be a data rockstar 
  • Break long term goals into short term iterative solutions that progress step by step 
  • Be able to communicate work in progress effectively to all internal stakeholders to ensure clear alignment and prioritization 
  • Maintain a relevant and well prioritized backlog, supported by user story maps, acceptance criteria and other artifacts needed by data and development teams. 
  • Articulate communicator both verbally and in writing. 
  • Outstanding organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Be a subject matter expert in the power of data and how to harness it 

NEED TO HAVE 

  • 3+ years experience in a product role such as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or Product Manager
  • 3+ years experience in a data role
  • 1+ year SAAS software experience 

NICE TO HAVE 

  • Background as a developer 
  • B2B Product experience 
  • Education industry experience
  • Scrum Certified Product Owner (Extra points for multiple/advanced certifications)
