Product Manager, Data Catalog

The Data Catalog Product Management team holds responsibility for the ultimate success of the Data Catalog product. This person will be accountable for understanding what clients and users want, setting the product strategy and roadmap, and guiding a cross-functional team as part of the product development process and full product lifecycle to ensure that the product delights clients/users and maximizes the economic value delivery to the business. The product manager and the product owner. Both roles are important to the overall success of a product, have a distinct responsibility split and must work closely together to build products that users love.
Job Responsibilities
- Implement the Data Catalog product globally to deliver self-service knowledge capabilities and to enable our data centricity strategies for our enterprise data assets.
- Ensure the Data Catalog product is integrated into Data Asset Management business processes.
- Partner with Engineering team to ensure that we provide best in class technical support and operations for all production Products.
- Collaborate on end user training content to drive adoption of Data Catalog with end users.
- Partner with business stakeholders to transform Data Asset Management work processes to optimize the impact of the Data Catalog.
- Partner/Vendor management.
- External knowledge in order to benchmark versus best in classes industry capabilities.
Qualifications
- Strong technical aptitude and willingness to be a hands-on learner
- Strong written and oral communication skills. Must be able to collaborate effectively with people from a variety of levels and roles.
- Setting and staying on top of multiple priorities.
- Strong product management skills.
- Ability to learn and master new applications.
- Familiar with Agile approach.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
