Job Description:
Pluralsight is the technology workforce development company that helps teams build better products by knowing more and working better together. Using our Skills and Flow products, teams can develop critical skills, improve processes and gain insights through data.
We build this exciting product ecosystem by working with smart people and uniting behind a passion for what tech can create. We're a group of good-natured, nimble go-getters dedicated to helping people and businesses build better with technology. That means when we see opportunities to create, we go for it. We don't let the unknown stop us from solving challenges and winning together. And most importantly, we treat each other like adults. If you can see possibilities where others see problems, have candid conversations to ensure all voices are heard and thrive in a collaborative environment, you'll do some of the best work of your career here.
As a Product Manager on our Cloud Skills Content Tooling team, you will impact the backbone of our company by building the tools that enable our Content teams to realize and deliver our already market-leading cloud content. Help us deliver on a differentiated product strategy for Cloud, a specialized domain within the Pluralsight Skills product suite and one of the biggest growth priorities for Pluralsight, by defining what needs to be built, performing ruthless prioritization, and roadmap planning.
You will partner with content creators, UX/UI designers, engineering teams, and other product teams to build the best experience for our internal users and business partners while also aligning and delivering on growth objectives for our cloud content.
Who you're committed to being:

  • Creative problem solver. You like to think beyond the first idea that comes to mind. Your curiosity pushes you to find the root of the problem instead of just treating the symptoms.
  • Excellent communicator. You leave people with a positive impression. You surface bottlenecks and problems, then turn around and work to resolve them.
  • A strong collaborator. You work closely with teams and seek the input of teammates as you make product decisions and implement new processes.
  • You ask questions, understand nuance, and challenge conventional wisdom.
  • You operate with curiosity, empathy, and integrity.
  • You are committed to Pluralsight's mission and values.

What you'll own:

  • Support hands-on mission, vision, and strategy in alignment with company strategy and objectives
  • Apply user research and data to define the roadmap and build consensus with leaders
  • Use Product Management methodologies to manage deliverables across tactical priorities and strategic goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solicit feedback while delivering iterative improvements to both product and processes
  • Communicate business value and technical rationale behind product decisions to a broad cross-section of team members
  • Ship high-quality slices of features early and often

Experience you'll need:

  • At least 2 years of related experience as a Product Manager for SaaS or software products
  • Proven leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities
  • Teaming up with Agile Engineering and UX/UI Design teams in a highly-collaborative environment with synchronous and async communications
  • Working with ambiguity and being able to deliver on strategic roadmap
  • Applying analytical abilities to surface, collect, and interpret data to help drive decision making
  • Partnering and communicating with internal business teams; global experience is preferred
  • Experience with any product management and development tooling e.g. JIRA, Pivotal, Trello, data dashboards, etc.
  • Experience working with content creators and/or content management systems is a plus
