About the Team


At Side, the Product Team owns end-to-end product design, from leading research studies to creating prototypes and high-fidelity mocks. Each Product Manager at Side is responsible for a large scope and thus drives a significant impact for our users and the business. We build products iteratively based on data insights and user feedback, and generate insightful assumptions about our users and their needs. We run user tests and develop prototypes to check our hypotheses and solutions and learn what to do next. Although data is how we make decisions at Side, we believe that collaboration, teamwork, and communication are critical to that process. We exercise transparency when talking to our partners and team and speak to our process, prioritization guidelines, and why we do what we do.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Reporting to the Head of Product, this role will interface regularly with our MIS team and with our Product, Design, and Engineering teams to develop products that delight our customers and enable our internal teams to deliver amazing customer experiences. The ideal candidate will be an evangelist for human-centered design and ensure the customer is top-of-mind whenever we design products and experiences. The right candidate will balance research and thoughtful design with a highly practical approach and a bias for action. You may be a good fit if you have experience as an Associate Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, Program Manager, or Technical Project Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Develop an understanding of business teams’ strategic priorities and partner with business teams, product teams, design teams, and engineering teams to execute cross-department implementation projects
  • Gather business requirements, perform user research, and lead the documentation process for new application functionality
  • Define a product roadmap and measurable goals and communicate to key partners
  • Lead product scope and deliverables for software releases, track project success metrics against goals, and lead sprint planning sessions and retrospectives
  • Support business case modeling and perform deep dive quantitative and qualitative analyses for software selections to determine alignment with strategic business initiatives
  • Provide assessment of risks and opportunities to business leaders to drive sound financial decisions and positive impact to the business
  • Organize and work with our business partners to complete user acceptance testing
  • Support change management functions for business partners and develop impact analysis reports
  • Work with Management Information Systems leadership to assist with strategic product backlog formation
  • Ad-hoc analysis & projects as needed to support business needs
  • Work autonomously but in collaboration with MIS team members, Product team members, Engineering team members, and business partners

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?

  • 4+ years working in technology systems and/or on technology implementations (ERP/CRM/iPaaS/BI tools)
  • 4+ years leading teams during functional and technical requirements gathering, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and product deployment
  • 4+ years of related experience in management or technology consulting or with engineering teams in a functional capacity, with a focus on improving processes
  • Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to formulate decisions based on qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • You’re very good at collecting user requirements and leading cross-functional teams, including technical and non-technical partners
  • You’re effective at prioritization and presenting the justification for your prioritization
  • You understand how product solutions impact and drive the business
  • You can envision solutions not just for our current needs, but also at 10 or 20x our current scale
  • You can build a holistic product vision and build individual product solutions that fit into that bigger holistic system
  • Salesforce experience is preferred
  • Familiar with Agile Development
  • NICE TO HAVE: Familiar with or interested in the Real Estate Industry
