ASSOCIATE PRODUCT MANAGER
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Participating in the management of Exactuals's flagship PaymentHub product. A successful candidate will be analytical, customer-focused, and detail-oriented, and be able to work with cross-functional teams to bring the product roadmap to fruition. This individual will be the voice and view of the customer from solution concept to market launch. Other day-to-day activities may include running a scrum team, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders on product releases, and supporting other departments with product expertise
Exactuals Division
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small "start up" group within a larger organization. Exactuals colleagues work hard to support one another in the mission to modernize the payment space, primarily for the entertainment industry, while enjoying the journey together. Exactuals became an RBC / City National company in 2018.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Work with customers inside and outside to develop a deep understanding of user needs, behavior and metrics, looking for ways to improve key product metrics and our user experience
- Communicate, translate, simplify, and document business requirements to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders
- Help with feature prioritization and keep the initiatives running on time within an agile development environment
- Work closely with engineering team to drive the execution and delivery of features and products. Mitigate any risks and ensure dependencies are handled appropriately. Test features and ensure they are of highest quality.
- Work with a scrum team, effectively collaborate with team members, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on product releases. Supporting other departments with product expertise.
- Coordinate user testing opportunities for new features so that the impact of change can be measured as clearly as possible
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in product management, business analysis, or software development
- Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams across the organization including product, engineering, customer support, marketing, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate to stakeholders with excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
A critical thinker with excellent conceptual and problem-solving skills and ability in translating complex business issues into clear goals and product requirements
Self-starter with a growth mindset, adaptability, and a drive for continuous improvement
Experience with SaaS, payment solutions, online identity, banking technologies (preferred)
Experience in media and entertainment industries (preferred)
Skills and Knowledge
- An understanding of product management and Agile Scrum methodology.
- A passion and empathy for the user and customer.
- Ability to identify issues and needs, recommend solutions for opportunities, and diligently pursue a plan.
- Ability to recognize changing needs adapt a plan when appropriate.
- Natural leadership instincts with a positive team building approach.
- Ability to successfully team with engineers and foster a positive, empowering environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
