THE ROLE

Due to the ongoing growth of our global operation, we are looking for an experienced Financial Services professional to join our expanding Xceptor Industry Solutions team. You will have a desire to put your industry leading knowledge of Asset Management to work, designing solutions that make Asset Managers’ operational processes more efficient, and streamlined, whilst reducing risk.

The Lead Solution Manager is responsible for the commercial success of the Solution, from inception through to launch, covering all activities - including solution identification (identify the business problem), creation (work with a team to define how Xceptor can solve the problem), launch (coordinate go to market activities) and maintenance (ensure regulatory and ongoing solution enhancements). Key responsibilities include gathering industry and client input and defining the solution roadmap and strategy to ensure market opportunities are maximised.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather and interpret global regulations to provide insight and requirements into the product development lifecycle.
  • Develop client relationships with senior external stakeholders, to gather feedback for input into the product / solution direction.
  • In partnership with Marketing, develop an external industry presence by creating relevant blog posts, videos, and interviews, and act as an evangelist for the product.
  • Lead and manage release timing and associated annual plans to ensure compliance with industry changes.
  • Coordinate industry solution inputs into the development process and define prioritisation in line with industry, customer, and project priorities.
  • Help define 2-3-year roadmap and identify opportunities to profitably grow solution line.
  • Work with Marketing to craft compelling materials, content, and industry insight.
  • Drive and update competitive analysis and capability assessments.
  • With assistance from the Product Director, create and maintain the product P&L and associated commercial documents.
  • Review technical specifications and check that these meet the business requirements.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Experienced in product management, and of working to deliver digital products that meet customer and business needs.
  • Track record of managing customer focused development, to deliver innovative and compelling solutions.
  • Operational experience in Banking (Retail, Corporate, Investment)
  • Track record of managing successful product profitability
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to clients and internal teams.
  • Technical understanding of how to create and run product demonstrations in front of clients.
  • Ability to work across internal and external teams gaining consensus on how features or processes should work.
  • Ability to organise and maintain reference libraries of materials for Sales and client facing teams.
  • Comfortable to work autonomously.
  • Familiar with software development lifecycle tools (Azure DevOps, Jira) and backlog prioritisation tools such as Aha! Or AirFocus.
