PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engineering
    • Ensure drawings, models, part numbers and BOM's are accurate and accessible.
    • Provide constant and consistent product performance feedback.
    • Make regular field visits to obtain customer input.
    • Facilitate an equitable relationship between manufacturing and engineering.
  • New Product Development
    • Set goals for launches targeting a rate of 1 per year.
    • Constantly be aware of vendor supply of raw material.
    • Involved in establishing vendor agreements.
    • Identify opportunities for new product development by monitoring field conditions, changes in industry technology and trends in the market.
    • Develop a business plan that includes why the product is necessary, goal of the product, target dates for launch, marketing plan, costing, supply chain requirements, etc.
    • Facilitate and maintain documentation as it relates to field testing and tracking of new and current products.
    • Regularly attend customer visits with the sales organization to understand customer needs.
    • Develop and manage customer VOC's with regional sales teams.
  • Product Training
    • Create and continuously update training materials.
    • Proactively coordinate and lead technical training classes to ensure our sales team and customers have the knowledge required to succeed.
  • Sales and Marketing
    • Micro and macro market understanding.
    • Customer/Vendor relationships.
    • Keep marketing materials up to date.
    • Thorough understanding of product applications and opportunities for new markets.
  • Manufacturing
    • Understanding of how the product is made.
    • Identify opportunities for improving lead times and reducing costs.
    • Inventory management including forecasting, stocking levels, stocking locations, etc.
  • RCA and Corrective Action
    • Lead the RCA and Corrective Action process relating to customer concerns.
  • Travel
    • The ability to travel (planned and unplanned) to learn about customers constantly evolving needs, monitor testing/performance, training, and to help address customer concerns.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering preferred.
  • Experience in designing, development, maintenance, and/or operation of centrifugal pumps and frac equipment preferred.
  • Travel will be required.
