Product Lead, Uber Operations Platform
About the Role
As a Product lead for Uber's Operations Platform, you will be at the forefront of driving efficiency for Uber's operations and logistics across 10,000+ cities around the world. Uber's Operations Platform orchestrates the E2E lifecycle of a trip across all product lines to creatively achieve economies of scale by interleaving machines and humans into workflows that power Uber's everyday operations. The role involves building best-in-class technical solutions involving automation, ML, tooling, and workflows.
The platform powers nearly a hundred applications across Driver, Rider, Marketplace, Safety, Maps, AI and Eats. It enables some of the most critical operations like Earner onboarding, Surge configuration, Trip diagnostics, Enhanced Pickup and Dropoff modeling, Eats curation, Safety ML labeling, and also powers the Internationalization platform for Uber to make Uber feel "at home" for everyone. These solutions enable quality and efficiency that ultimately are a strategic advantage for Uber, while also improving our end-user experiences by reducing friction in the customer journey.
As the product lead for the Operations Platform organization, you will drive the vision and strategy while leading a team of product managers.

What you'll do
• Lead and envision the future for Uber's Operations platform that powers all of Uber's primary operational needs. Build towards the vision with a clear, prioritized roadmap across all of Uber's business areas including Rides, Eats, etc.• Collaborate with partners across the company, from engineers, product teams, operations, design, marketing, localization, and UX writers to understand their current and future needs. Evolve our suite of products and integrations with various other products to delight them.• Manage, hire, coach and help grow a team of product managers in the organization. Also, manage and mentor designers/UX team to build intuitive user experiences.• Conceptualize and ship bold new products bets that enable us to drive business value by making Uber's operations logistics scale efficiently.• Monitor and measure launched products, leveraging insights to drive growth and delight.• Clearly communicate product vision, roadmap, and impact to a spectrum of audiences, from internal partners to the executive team.
Basic Qualifications
• Thinking from first principles: You don't assume things or take the status quo for granted. You base your solutions on data, product instinct, curiosity and a hypothesis + experimentation driven approach.• Technically proficient: You have collaborated with engineers in developing the technical architecture of the products you have built.• 7+ years of Product Management experience including managing, hiring and coaching product managers.
Preferred Qualifications
• Vision: You can inspire teams with your multi-year vision. You can build towards your vision with a coherent quarterly roadmap.• Customer obsession: You are passionate about understanding your customers, and building experiences to delight them. You can proudly showcase several examples of this.• Crisp understanding of the Product process: Defining user goals, operationalizing them, strong prioritization, iterative product development process.• Collaborative: You can build strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders. This role will require you to work with other Product and engineering teams, Design, Operations, Marketing.• You are passionate about platforms - building them, scaling them, and enabling new business opportunities on them.• Experience building products from 0-1
