About the Role

The Product Lead, Account Integrity is responsible for leading a team responsible for the integrity of a user account. Scope includes detection and prevention of Bots and fake accounts, Account takeovers and monetization of user accounts by fraudsters. This role will proactively look for existing and emerging fraud trends in the industry and create innovative and effective defenses leveraging machine learning/AI and other state of the art solutions across policy, product and operations to minimize fraud losses on the platform.

Who You Are: 

  • A deeply experienced product manager with extensive knowledge in the Fraud and Risk domain
    • Strategic thinker who clearly sees the big picture and helps others connect dots deep into the details to deliver strategic and concrete outcomes for our business and community.
    • A leader who has solved problems in the financial fraud related pre-transaction/transaction risk space at scale in companies of various sizes. 
    • A curious learner who is constantly building their knowledge of emerging and existing financial fraud trends in the industry as well as the latest and greatest technology solutions to combat such fraud trends.  
    • Is comfortable working across multiple time-scales (crisis mode to triage and mitigate fraud attacks in real time as well as strategic mode to think across 3-5 year horizon)
    • Can hit the ground running by auditing current system vulnerabilities through deep dives and customer research and come up with short term roadmap while simultaneously working on a longer term strategy to be best in class within the industry 
  • A versatile leader with attention to detail who understands business strategies and connects those with product/technical solutions.
  • Strong collaboration who thrives connecting with cross-functional teams to deliver on plans and roadmaps.
  • Strong mentor and leader who can hire, onboard and mentor product managers reporting to them and help them deliver against their goals and KPIs
  • Strong communicator who can articulate their long term product strategy and roadmap to senior leaders/peers and pitch blue sky ideas successfully 
  • A calm leader who can manage chaos during an ongoing fraud attack by communicating effectively with stakeholders through articulation of issue status, root cause and mitigation strategy.

Responsibilities: 

  • Redefine and develop the product vision and strategy for the Account Integrity and other Financial Fraud domains.
  • Develop product roadmaps and build alignment across product teams, cross functional partners (Global Operations, Payments, FP&A, Community Support, etc.) and Leadership/Executive teams.
  • Implement best in class product development and management practices.
  • Develop short term plans to defend against day to day ongoing fraud attacks and create long term strategic roadmaps to play offense and create scalable solutions
  • Outcome-oriented. Not reactionary, articulates the desired outcome and works collaboratively to create a path to achieve it.
  • Radical thinking paired with strong execution. Can envision a world different than the status quo with the ability to articulate a clear path to get there.
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • Resilient and calm thinker and has ability to manage churn during fraud attacks to drive team to root cause and mitigation
  • Communicate product strategy and roadmap, performance against OKR’s and metrics to leadership and also lead team through triage, analysis and mitigation during ongoing fraud attacks


Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of product management experience, specifically in the Fraud and Risk domain
  • 5+ years experience in a management role with direct report responsibility
  • Proven track record of translating customer needs into product features and solutions, delivering delightful and frictionless customer experiences that deliver business results and proven track record of product management experience, preferably in an marketplace environment
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels, from individual and team-level, up to C-suite
  • Highly collaborative and comfortable executing in a cross-functional, matrixed organization
  • Ability to orchestrate across teams, both yours and others’, to build and execute complex business plans and strategies
  • Experience in operating in global environments across cultures, locations, and time zones
  • Highly analytical and comfortable making data-driven decisions while balancing the right approach for our community
  • Familiarity with data science, analytics and machine learning concepts
  • Demonstrated track record of product leadership with an ability to lead and influence teams
  • Ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • Demonstrated experience problem-solving in demanding environments
  • Have a positive and solution-oriented mindset; leads by example
