Job Summary:
The Product Launch Manager will lead a new product line from the middle of its product development cycle to successful launch. You will pick up late-stage physical prototypes, provide critical input to help finalize the new product, and then bring them to life for our customers by developing a strategy and coordinating its execution across Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Design. This role is best suited for an entrepreneurial individual who wants to:
- Tackle a healthy mix of strategic and execution-oriented tasks to develop and launch new products
- Develop strong leadership skills through end-to-end management of an exciting process
- Work cross-functionally and gain an understanding of all parts of our business
What You’ll Do:
Product Strategy and Go-To-Market:
- Conduct research (e.g. customer surveys, textile industry standards) and analyses (e.g. competitor product offerings) to understand where-to-play and how-to-win prior to launch
- Synthesize insights from early customer feedback to solidify key dimensions of offering (e.g. specific colors) and champion the product’s value proposition to the rest of the organization and our customers
- Coordinate teams across Marketing, Operations, and Design to lead a successful launch (e.g. supporting preparation for marketing campaign, finalizing product and design specs for manufacturing, and determining sales price)
Launch and Execution:
- Maintain a detailed launch plan and coordinate execution across teams to deliver launches on time (with a willingness to get your hands dirty when necessary)
- Develop financial models (e.g. unit economics, forecasts) for new products
- Develop KPIs and relevant metrics to identify potential issues and measure success, setting up new processes and systems from scratch when relevant
What You’ll Need to Have:
Required:
- 2-5 years of experience in strategy consulting, or similar Product role in a F500 company or a high growth startup (role can be adjusted for candidates with more experience)
- Ability to own large projects and important relationships in fast-paced environment
- Ability to break down ambiguous, complex problems into simple, practical solutions
- Ability to think strategically about the big picture and quickly dive into the nitty-gritty
- Excellent business acumen and ability to focus on what matters
- Excellent written and verbal communication with impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
