This is a unique opportunity to help create a fully new transformative mobile experience for Gartner clients as part of the Global Product Management team (GPM).

The Director, Digital Product Management -Gartner Mobile App, will be a key leader in delivering a fully new mobile experience that enables executives and leaders around the world to leverage Gartner Insights, Advice, and Tools when, where and how they need it most.

This leadership position will contribute to our mobile and omnichannel innovation strategy, helping to define and delivering a new mobile experience for Gartner clients that meets user need and leverages the full power of mobile technology. Additionally, the role will work across teams to ensure a truly omnichannel experiences that creates continuous engagement along the user journey.

What you will do:

  • Contribute to the Mobile Vision: Develop a deep understanding of Gartner user needs and wants and create a differentiated vison for the mobile (and omnichannel) experience.
  • Communicate the Mobile Roadmap: Define and prioritize user problems/unmet needs for design and development that will deliver business results. Partner with UX, Tech, Product, Sales and Service enablement leadership to communicate the roadmap.
  • Human Centered Design: Lead a team of product managers/product owners to partner effectively with our UX teams to rapidly empathize, ideate, prototype and test features based on the user needs defined in the roadmap.
  • Deliver Working Technology Quickly: Partner with tech and UX leadership to collectively lead Agile squads to rapidly deliver the transformative mobile experience.
  • Iterate and Learn: Drive continuous improvement through combining quantitative and qualitative analytics to identify opportunities for incremental value add and continuous improvement, releasing (and testing) value every sprint.
  • Ruthlessly prioritize: Presented with meaningful imperatives and a mountain of data, identify and organize clear, concise actions
  • Drive alignment and buy-in: Develop and present regular updates to top executives and internal stakeholders.
  • Be a leader in a matrixed organization: Lead brainstorming & collaborative problem-solving sessions with your partners in Research, Service delivery, Sales
  • Lead and build a high performing team: coach and train more junior product managers on the art and science of product management as well as guide more experienced ones in the nuances of communication and stakeholder management.



What you will need:

  • Proven Track Record of Success: 10+ years of progressive career experience with mobile apps, software product management, and ideally SaaS.
  • Relevant Experience: An experienced leader of successful mobile app product teams.
  • Ownership Mentality: Strong commercial acumen with a bias for action, ability to balance tradeoffs, prioritize for business impact, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and do what it takes
  • User Obsession: Innate desire to empathize and understand users and their true journeys, emotions, wants, needs and challenges.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative business analytics: including ability to turn quantitative analysis into actionable recommendations with measurable business impact
  • Influential Leadership skills: collaborate with cross-functional teams across all levels of the organization, both inside and outside of GPM, including sales, research, engineering, customer success, and customer research
  • Team mindset: Ability to work in a culture that thrives on feedback and seeks opportunities to stretch outside your comfort zone; and at the same time coach/mentor team members to build a high performing team culture
