Responsible for developing & managing product initiatives on fixed and fixed indexed annuity lines within the Retirement Division. Lead projects through all phases of the offering development process, including ideation, feasibility, design & pricing, implementation, launch, and post-launch monitoring. 

Responsibilities:

  • Drive ideation on new product initiatives in coordination with actuarial, marketing, and sales & distribution teams
  • Evaluate feasibility of new ideas based on feedback from across the organization including actuarial, IT, legal, sales, and marketing
  • Shape business requirements for design and implementation of new products to ensure key functionality is delivered to support product value proposition
  • Guide marketing partners in the early development of campaign and launch plans to ensure alignment of messaging with product value proposition
  • Develop and carry out plans to monitor and review products post-launch to evaluate how they delivered on goals and to gather stakeholder feedback for future product iterations
  • Facilitate & support exploration of new channels/businesses/markets in coordination with div leadership 
  • Provide recommendations on crediting rate strategy for retail products including inforce product lines
  • Understand and align product strategy with the evolving regulatory environment 
  • Identify compelling concepts that address consumer needs in creative ways – in coordination with competitive intelligence and innovation teams

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years industry experience
  • Life insurance/annuity experience preferred: sales, account management, product development, product management 
  • Solid understanding of the product lifecycle
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience in the insurance industry or new product implementation is a plus. 
  • Proven ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with Leadership, technical and non-technical audiences while employing a high degree of collaboration and influence.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Experience collaborating effectively with key stakeholders to make decision related to products and pricing
  • Passion and drive for delivering products that meet consumer needs

This position is an Virtual/work from home position subject to our virtual workplace standards.


Performance-Based Compensation: [This position is eligible for an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance] OR [SIP – This position includes cash compensation as a part of a sales incentive plan (SIP)]


Note: Pursuant to Colorado law, Protective is providing the applicable salary range for Colorado residents. Salary Range Specific to Colorado: $115,000 - $130,000
