Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range
$80,800.00 - $133,300.00

What Is the Opportunity?
• Under general supervision, this position leads the design and delivery of new and enhanced countrywide reports, products and services involving third-party data. Develop I.T. business requirements and testing criteria. May provide functional advice or training. Acts as team leader and key member for operational projects. May monitor and manage underwriting reports and costs including outside vendors providing such services. May work with state regulators and market conduct examiners. Senior-level position, responsible for project management. Integrates product models into business strategies and decisions. Influences business decisions. Responsibilities include multiple product management functions. The management component of this level is closer to consultation than supervision. Serve as the Project Mgr. on complex projects and can be expected to concurrently manage multiple complex projects while handling regular job responsibilities. After a project is assigned, the incumbent is completely responsible for its success. Develops third-party data strategies that tie to business goals and objectives through partnership with finance, R&D, actuarial, underwriting, customer experience, platform, technology, regulatory, marketing and distribution and ensures adherence to them throughout the product development and implementation lifecycle.What Will You Do?

  • Lead third-party data related efforts such as development of product features, I.T. business requirements and testing, and responding to product questions.
  • Ensure documentation of new and revised changes, rules, forms, referrals, and endorsements.
  • Monitor market and vendor performance; make adjustments as required. Monitor expense control.
  • Extract, analyze and present data summary to senior management.
  • Participate in discussions regarding strategy. Communicate and negotiate with legal, I.T., marketing and claim depts.
  • Implement strategies to improve profitability of the business.
  • Recommend solutions for process inefficiencies.
  • Preview, test, utilize, and monitor vendor products and data (e.g. outside reports). Integrate into the business decision making process.
  • Develop and communicate philosophy, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • Typically 5+ yrs. experience in home/field office PL underwriting, pricing, filing, coverage, systems and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of PL products.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environment.
  • Strong PC skills.
  • Solid knowledge of PL pricing, filing, coverage, underwriting, compliance and systems; PL distribution channels
  • Teamwork: effective working relationships
  • Project Management: develop and communicate realistic project plans; coordinate resources and tasks with other PL depts.
  • Leadership: take ownership/accountability for projects or roles, providing guidance and influence to achieve results. Demonstrate effective negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Customer focus: identify needs and implement actions to effectively address them.
  • Ability to influence others and develop consensus around a plan of action.
  • Clearly understands how unit relates to the business division.

  • Insurance related degrees or designations a plus



What is a Must Have?

  • Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 4 years' property casualty insurance experience with working knowledge and experience in product underwriting or coverage.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
