Product Development Lead (AKA PDT lead) is responsible for guiding a multi-functional engineering team (PDT) to deliver Automotive grade SSD products in alignment to Micron's Automotive Roadmap, Product performance and feature specifications and customer requirements. PDL acts as the technical decision making authority for the respective program and works closely with assigned TPM (Technical Program manager) who would be responsible for driving the program achievements to the schedule.
Successful Candidates will have:

  • Proven experience in leading multi-functional teams in a matrix style organization. Proven capability in applying direct decision making when leading product development
  • Passion for solving complicated and time critical technical problems
  • Strong sense of ownership ensuring product metrics are met on time holding quality at the highest standards
  • Outstanding communication skills catering to diverse audience, ranging from highly technical individual contributors to upper/executive management as well as customers externally
  • Experience in setting program schedules while coordinating efforts with team members in Program Management, FW, HW, System Architecture, Validation, Quality, Manufacturing and Business
  • Results driven focus on execution balancing multiple tasks at the same time. Strong customer focus


Technical Proficiencies:

  • Direct knowledge of SSD products and datacenter system application. Experience with NAND flash, SSD ASIC and SSD Firmware
  • Proven understanding of the PCIe/NVMe interface protocol
  • Debug expertise and Hardware design hands-on experience. Proficiency with common lab tools such as logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes etc.
  • Familiarity with JIRA


Education & Experience:

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science or related fields
  • 15+ years of meaningful professional experience


The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires that Micron Technology provide the compensation range offered for this position is performed in Colorado. The base salary range for this position in Colorado is $120,000 to $249,000
