As part of Corvus’ Legal team, reporting to its General Counsel, you will develop, draft and deliver concise and clear policy form language to meet market demand while adhering to underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, revise, and maintain policy forms and endorsements for cyber, tech E&O and other specialty or related lines
  • Respond to underwriter requests for manuscript endorsements as well as coverage questions and product analysis
  • Proactively engage with underwriting team to understand underwriting appetite that drives policy language needs
  • Partner with claims team on coverage analysis as needed
  • Monitor and evaluate judicial, legislative and regulatory activity and industry developments impacting business; Advise business partners as needed
  • Deliver and coordinate learning and development opportunities for underwriting to further technical coverage knowledge and product use
  • Establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external customers and team members
  • May perform contract review, NDA review and other legal duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Law (J.D.) preferred
  • Minimum two years commercial specialty lines drafting/product development
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of insurance business including product development, underwriting, claim, legal, and regulatory issues for admitted and non-admitted lines 
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills as well as strong organizational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with a strong focus on teamwork
  • Proven record of working independently, managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines and adding value
  • Demonstrated record of collaborative relationships with customers, subordinates, senior management and external business partners
  • Detail and execution oriented
  • Cyber claims or underwriting experience a plus
