Current Need

We are seeking a Product Data Manager - eCommerce to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Position Description

The Product Data Manager - eCommerce plays a key role in building and maintaining the product catalog for our B2C channel using a variety of systems. The right candidate must understand how to organize, transform and structure data to balance flexibility with automation. They must be comfortable working in concert with stakeholders across the organization including PIM, Product Strategy and Supplier Partnerships, Marketing, Materials Management and Marketplace Management.

The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate about product data with endless curiosity to continuously learn about MMS product setup and its influence on other internal areas of the company. They need to be comfortable working with larger data sets and be able to communicate the issues that need to be corrected. The candidate will be our steward to continue building our assortment information within our eCommerce platform that will be leveraged in all our B2C e-commerce channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Build the B2C catalog in our B2C ecommerce platform:

  • Co-Lead monthly reviews, together with channel managers and eCommerce Marketplace Lead, on category roadmap to build catalog
  • Provides & receives recommendation on creation / update of B2C Taxonomy to Channel managers, Marketplace Lead and PIM.
  • Ensures Product information has at least minimum requirements to launch on channels and works together with PIM team to standardize data quality
  • Archives/removes products in our B2C ecommerce platform. Reviews that available product meet legend code, hazmat restrictions
  • Works with Category leads/Channel Managers and product sourcing: to add new products/ rebranding to the catalog; to label products which are subject to various agreements and/or restrictions


Creates and maintains all Assortment related mapping between our B2C e-commerce platform and our B2B PIM Platform. This includes:

  • Creation and maintenance of conversion tables from McKesson internal data to our B2C platform.
  • Reviews monthly updates from our B2B PIM data standardization and updates our B2C eCommerce Platform inbound mapping as needed
  • Transforms Standardize PIM data into specific channel or vendor requirements. Transformation includes translation tables or formulas.
  • Ensures product content updates flow to our B2C eCommerce platform.
  • Creates Base Product Titles for our B2C channel.


Together with the Channel Manager:

  • Creates products groupings related to PIM items, inclusive of Variations for .com and Soft Bundles
  • Reflect MAP on items


Works with Materials Management to ensure correct ecommerce availability

Minimum requirements

2+ years' experience in eCommerce Merchandising, Product Strategy, or Product Information Management

Critical Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Advanced Excel power user (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)
  • Experience managing large datasets
  • Product knowledge in a corporate retail environment



Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of Channel Advisor, CommerceHub or other retail connectivity system
  • Experience with a product information management system (PIMS, P360, etc.) preferred



Education
4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience. High school diploma required.
