Physicians Mutual is looking for a Product Analyst who will have primary responsibility to effect, analyze, validate, manage, specify and verify the exact needs of the project stakeholders, customers and end users. Develops and implements measurements to aid in communicating financial and internal goals. Prepares reports on a monthly and ad hoc basis; researches, resolves and corrects discrepancies as needed. Develops and maintains , experience reviews, actuarial policy values, and related procedures. Compiles and evaluates statistical data. Researches and analyzes company and industry related information. Prepares and communicates results of various requests. The selected candidate will work closely with numerous teams across the company. This role includes involvement with long term projects and analyzing data.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics:

• Has an advanced understanding of actuarial concepts and insurance knowledge, and the ability to apply them to complex problems to create innovative solutions.
• Emphasis on strong analytical and problem-solving skills, well developed interpersonal skills, and solid communication skills.
• Ability to effectively utilize data manipulation and reporting software such as: Excel, Access, Tableau is required.
• Ability to prepare complex financial and statistical reports analyzing and reporting inter-related business assumptions.
• Ability to apply complex mathematical computations to large-scale work projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience preferred
• Experience in financial analysis is preferred.
