Job Description Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. CCB Chief Data Office helps the firm understand, manage and anticipate data risks in a constantly changing environment. The Privacy organization in the Chief Data Office cover all aspects of privacy supporting the line of business, such as handling individual rights request, incident management, privacy impact assessment and evaluate and development of platform for managing and protecting privacy related data. The team also provides oversight and guidance across CCB on privacy related topics in coordination with our firmwide, Legal and Compliance partners to maintain an effective control environment.
Job Description
The Privacy Consumer and User Experience team covers the experience of tools and services to support compliance with existing and future privacy legislation (e.g. General Data Protection Regulation, California Consumer Privacy Act), including education of consumers (both customer and non-customer). The Privacy Consumer and User Experience team is dedicated to providing consistent experiences and content to consumers and employees data privacy across JPMC and ensuring alignment with federal and international privacy requirements.
The Area Product Owner for Privacy Digital Experiences will work within the Privacy Consumer and User Experience team and overall CCB Privacy Office to help drive the development of JPMC Privacy Digital Experiences. The Area Product Owner will work with the Consumer and User Experience Lead to create and then implement a strategic vision that takes into consideration goals for the CCB Privacy Office and direct consumers. They will work with the technology scrum teams to ensure that progress against the strategy and releases is maintained. The Area Product Owner will be expected to communicate progress against strategic objectives to a wide range of audiences from users to leadership.
This highly collaborative position requires an individual who has demonstrable product management, ownership, and communication skills. The ideal candidate understands that product management is cross-functional and involves development, research, client interaction, architecture, process mapping, resource planning, and general awareness of goals versus constraints. The position will be responsible for creating, driving and communicating a roadmap to implement the strategic vision for Privacy Digital Experiences. The APO will also be expected to provide subject matter expertise to audiences upon request.
Core responsibilities:
This role is specifically responsible for managing the consumer-facing Digital applications and content to support Individual Data Privacy Rights Requests, Privacy Preferences and other Privacy content published on our web and mobile presences. This includes development of a centralized view of Privacy for customers and consumers.
Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Consumer and User Experience Lead and the Privacy Rights and Preferences Product team to create a strategic vision for all Digital Experiences related to Privacy
  • Working with internal clients (such as Digital, Customer Profile) and management to lay out a roadmap for product development that delivers the strategic vision for the products
  • Maintaining progress against product roadmaps and balancing internal and client demands against release schedules
  • Understanding the broader CCB Privacy Office, including the Privacy Rights & Preferences Product and how applications cross impact each other to maintain a complete product
  • Document and oversee all Digital Privacy experiences for consumers in collaboration with Legal, Compliance and Data Use, ensuring we've met the consumer's desired experience
  • Helping clients solve problems and craft viable solutions that can be delivered according to the published plan
  • Working closely with Privacy Rights and Preferences Product Team and IT partners to ensure that product demands are understood from a development perspective and that products are delivered according to a published timeline, including migration to target state, app modernization and new development
  • Within the Agile Scrum development methodology:
    • Understanding the true business need through working with the end user community
    • Creating and documenting user stories to clearly convey requirements and acceptance criteria to developers and testers
    • Active participation in the agile team including agile scrum ceremonies and meetings
  • Collaborating with the UAT testing team to match design requirements with produced results and ensure key deliverables support full view of User Testing
    • Should be able to support internal and external teams for integrated testing needs
    • Should be able to support Pilot, and Production validation testing, if needed
  • Ensuring changes to Digital Privacy experiences are communicated to Privacy stakeholders (e.g. CCB Privacy Operations team, Privacy Champions), as needed, for awareness or training
  • Developing communication and presentations to executive leadership


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or related field
  • 1 to 5 years of product or related experience
  • 1 or more years of experience working with Agile teams
  • 1 or more years of experience taking client requirements and other customer-facing material and delivering a strategic roadmap
  • Experience in taking product requirements and other customer-facing material and converting into agile epics and stories to support the development lifecycle.
  • An understanding of the software development cycle, agile development methodology and big data management
  • Proven success working with a variety of internal/external teams at various levels of management
  • Experience with technical concepts and working with technical staff as needed
  • Ability to work independently and develop creative ways to achieve goals
  • Experience with JIRA or other tools used to support Agile development methodology.
  • Knowledge of PII, metadata and other data management concepts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, JIRA, SQL/queries
  • Proven ability to influence and communicate with stakeholders across functions
