Your Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager interested in solving the service performance and observability challenges faced by today's developers and operators.

How do you know if you're the right fit for this role? You have several years of software product management experience bringing new offerings to market, and understand serverless architectures, as well as traditional host and cloud infrastructure and the monitoring, needs they all require. You empathize with developers and the reasons people are moving to the cloud and DevOps and understand business strategy, constraints, and planning.

In this highly visible and strategic individual contributor role, you would be taking on the roadmap and execution of a product with tens of thousands of active users. If you want to make a big impact in a fast-growing, dynamic company, this is an excellent fit for you!

What You'll Do

  • Lead strategic and special projects ranging from new product and feature development to strategy creation
  • Lead our innovative approach to Infrastructure monitoring and grow our presence in the space. Understand the problem sets, users, and market to create a solution used daily by developers. Be an inspiring leader and authority on FAAS and Infrastructure monitoring in the company and industry.
  • Guide the product development organization on serverless support including AWS, Azure & Open Telemetry.
  • Communicate a clear set of business priorities, success metrics, and customer imperatives at all times and actively work cross-departmentally to drive key trade-off decisions
  • Establish business metrics and customer/market research questions to advise optimization or new product development
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other relevant teams to provide the market context and key drivers that feed the revenue forecast and longer-term outlook and TAM. Actively engage and tackle for business limiters within your control and pursue accelerants.
  • Meticulously think through every aspect of the overall customer experience, putting users' needs first in the definition of requirements
  • Continuously seek improvements to the customer experience working with the UX and Engineering team as well as executive partners to better drive the business and/or company goals
  • Serve as key spokesperson for the business, delivering clear, compelling communications across New Relic and outside the company to garner any support required to successfully deliver business outcomes



Your Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Experience product managing technical products built for developers.
  • Ability to distill sophisticated topics and feedback into clear, prioritized, business or user cases and product requirements
  • Experience collaborating with agile development teams and handling a backlog
  • Experience working in medium-to-large software companies
  • Experience working on or leading enterprise/B2B products
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead across an organization, communicate appropriately to various audiences including executive level, perseverance, and determination
  • Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, including data analysis
  • Background in SaaS and cloud-based software
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle


Nice-to-have:

  • Previous experience with infrastructure either as a PM or practitioner
