The role:

We have a Principal Product Manager position available within the payments team where you will own defining, executing, and delivering a roadmap for the Galileo authorization and settlements product team. We are on a journey to create a cloud powered financial platform that democratizes access to financial services for our clients. 

You will work on shaping our current product investments to create a more modern and cloud based offering, invest in net new cloud services and own and drive international growth. This role is cross-functional—you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, finance,  and executive teams to set technology strategy, define and prioritize features. You’ll bridge technical and business worlds engaging with matrixed teams including engineering, design, operations, legal, risk, compliance and you must drive internal stakeholder and partner engagements necessary for the on-time launch of the product.

This is a high visibility role and you will often interact with C-level executives inside and outside Galileo. In this role you will be expected to independently interface and drive discussions and decisions with leaders from product, engineering, business unit and operations.


What you’ll do:

  • Build a vision, strategy and own a multi-year product roadmap
  • Drive disruptive and innovative solutions in a customer centric environment
  • Break vision into phases, prioritize and drive backlogs for launch with your dedicated engineering teams
  • Lead engagements with partners and clients to advance improvements and solutions
  • Own core payment processing and reconciliation services to drive innovation, improvements, deep understanding and product plans 
  • Lead in a fast paced and complex agile environment
  • Work with internal project stakeholders from marketing, sales, operations, community and executive management to translate customer needs into a product
  • Work closely with engineering to own and dive deep into backlogs, definition of done and technical details
  • Lead extensive framework of experimentation in order to drive customer impact

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years product management with domain knowledge of financial and payment services 
  • Highly organized and capable of driving improvements and process, if necessary 
  • Superior communication skills, written and verbal 
  • Experience presenting to C-level leadership
  • Experience managing product roadmaps and prioritization of products and features
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners
  • Demonstrated ability to document new ideas and drive innovations from concept to implementation
  • Ability to deep dive into details to understand the best path to address existing challenges
  • Experience managing complex product development cycles and highly technical solutions
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and projects on deadlines
  • Ability to work with remote teams
