Job Description
Our IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation.
As part of our Company's digital transformation efforts, this role is critical to enabling a digital shopfloor with strong business understanding of the differing shopfloor applications, this role defines, promotes, and oversees the strategy for integrating shopfloor platforms leading to a fully digital ecosystem. With strong comprehension of the integration technologies, this role will define the data strategy associated with integrations including MES, data historians, automation systems, and analytical instruments, etc. This position will work with all shopfloor product lines within the Digital Manufacturing Value Team and the manufacturing sites in developing and managing this strategy. This role will have a strong tie to the business owners across the manufacturing space. As our Company transforms its operating model, this role will eventually have direct managerial responsibility of teams that deliver and operate technology globally. Finally, this role will work at multiple organizational levels, from a very tactical & technical level to a senior strategic level.

  • Communicates Effectively - Ability to communicate clearly with difference audience whether cross functionally within IT, business stakeholders, or organizational leadership. Strong importance on recognizing the audience and crafting messaging accordingly. All aspects are important from technical or tactical discussions at site level to strategic communications at a organization level.
  • Global perspective - Ability to balance a single user requirement against a strong focus for a standardized model and be able to influence local users to a global approach.
  • Ensures accountability - Ability take responsibility to ensure success on any initiative. On critical projects, it instills confidence in others when they know you have a vested interest in the positive outcome they are all striving toward

Responsibilities:
This role will lead the development of a data strategy for a digital manufacturing plant floor. Understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing business use cases and the enabling technology will be key to success. Our Company leverage applications that area leaders in the industry such as Emerson DeltaV DCS, Werum PAS-X MES, OSISoft PI Data historian. Following is a list of key skills for success.
  • Data integration requirements to enable a digital plant floor areas of shop floor automation, manufacturing execution, analytical instruments, and data archival/analysis.
  • Develop robust and innovative solutions enabling our manufacturing engineers to utilize data to drive improvement decisions, identify issues, and utilize advanced analytics.
  • Drive implementation and adherence to a technology governance process for process data.
  • Ability to lead a solution delivery teams, taking a project from conceptual phase to value realization with good understand project lifecycle.
  • Participate in the development of an Enterprise Architecture using the ISA95 and ISA88 standards.

Education Requirement:
  • Bachelors ( Prefer Bachelor of Science)

Qualifications:
  • Position may be remote within US or European time zones.
  • 5 + years of working experience in manufacturing life sciences.
  • Strong understanding how ISA standards S88 and S95 apply to life science manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of operational technologies in life science manufacturing specifically the business use cases and value drivers of these solutions.
  • Technical depth in the automation systems.
  • Previous working experience in networking, virtualization and infrastructure hosting.
  • 15 + years of working experience in Operational Technologies
  • Previous working experience managing people.
