Ford Credit will play a key role across each facet of the customer experience including a leadership role in all areas of payment processing. Focus will include enabling payments across multiple channels including Online, In App, In Dealer and other mobility solutions. Special attention will be made on launching the new payment provider, migration of current use cases to the new provider, and connecting new use cases showing high value proposition

As a Product Manager, you will work to achieve the mission of the Foundational Platforms group by

  • Supporting development and expansion of a payments service to transform Ford's consumer experience across the Ford enterprise
  • Support the deployment of a new payment processor with a strategic priority in enabling efficient payments and delivering the Ford+ plan promise of partnering for efficiency
  • Onboard new payment use cases and migrate existing use cases (FCSD, Dealer eCommerce, Subscription Services Platform ("SSP")) to the new payment provider

Strategic Operations
Work with current FordPay Product Manager to coordinate business requirements for data elements required up front for design implementation

  • Lead the creation of desk Procedures for operations supporting new provider launch
  • Develop training and materials required to support new provider launch with dealers and Ford merchant requirements
  • Understand reporting requirements from Dealers and Ford Merchants and work with outside providers to enable appropriate reporting necessary to meet accounting reconciliation, customer management and customer experience requirements
  • Work to migrate key aspects of operational requirements managed by FordPay to business operations supporting a "self-service" customer experience
  • Conduct value assessment of existing team administrative tasks and processes and determine any appropriate outsourcing options with existing internal operations or external suppliers
  • Establish operational support and funding model for critical supplier's post project, i.e. annual retainer / SOW to fund ongoing requirements
  • Establish additional project support requirements for 2021+ to support activity increases i.e. Dealer volume increases, growth with ICE, FSM, multiple markets languages
  • Support Group Product Owner as required with future strategic product portfolio development, business opportunity (business case and POV development), business proposal and shaping requirements for deployment and development

Supplier Management

  • Establish and conduct weekly Supplier check-in meetings to discuss in flight projects and ongoing operational subjects with key Pay Processor partners
  • Manage internal and external partners to optimize growth
  • Establish and conduct regular Supplier Review meetings (check procedural requirements), document/minute outcomes and ensure issue resolution
  • Manage Contract Renewal and re-tendering process as required
  • Manage contract changes and addendums, including legal and location liaison
  • Establish supplier SLAs as required, to include business critical KPI reviews and obtain and maintain up to date business continuity plans as required by FMCC Procedure
  • Establish ongoing support arrangements with key supplier's post project (i.e. language support for low volume boarding).
  • Conduct Annual supplier risk and financial health assessments
  • Manage key supplier Purchase Orders, budget adjustments, invoicing, pay-out and closures

Payment Processing Discovery and Integration Lead

  • Conduct discovery with various enterprise partners requiring input into FordPay integration requirements, partner engagement, and evaluate value prop for quarterly prioritization
    Examples include:
      • Driver Assist Technology - Subscription or on demand
      • FCSD - Remote Pay, FordProtect
      • AV/EV payment requirements
      • Enterprise Connectivity - Ford Pro (SSP, Tolling, In-Vehicle Payments)
  • Develop roadmap with enterprise partners, vendor partner and IT resources to support the migration of existing use cases and new use cases prioritized for future quarters
  • Engage closely with the Engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods and reasonable implementation schedule as well as provide support after execution
  • Understand customer needs and gather product requirements that identify market opportunities and define product vision and strategy
  • Assist in pitching FordPay products to leadership
  • Design and drive the overall vision and product strategy to a coherent whole

The minimum requirements we seek

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience working as product owner or product manager with experience working on software applications
  • 3+ years of experience working with digital products/(API's) and experience with payment industry and products

Our preferred requirements

  • Able to align priorities with users and platforms taking ownership to deliver and solve issues
  • Personally, champion inclusion within teams through actions to fully engage teams with diverse backgrounds and experiences
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to operate in a white space environmentgenerating insights to create and tell a story
  • Strong experience with payment industry and payment providers
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including product ownership, User Experience (UX)/User Insights (UI), sales, customer service, finance or marketing. Understanding of go-to-market commerce enablers
  • Able to deploy split testing, managing prioritization with platform and users and to provide data
