Responsibilities for this position include, but not limited to:
- Understand Business Requirements - Understand key business strategies and needs, required business capabilities, and translate to appropriate requirements for a solution. Work with Global Advisors and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and actions. Understand key business processes and how technology solutions enable, change, or impact those processes.
- Deliver Product Functionality - Responsible for delivery of requirements for product functionality. Maintain and refine product backlog. Create user stories and acceptance criteria. Assess business value and prioritize all stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that align with strategy
- Use Agile/SAFe methods - Work with team members to ensure timely delivery of business value, utilizing various agile ceremonies and tools (Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Program Increment planning, ADO, etc.). Owns the Product backlog and Feature(s) set. Understand and support inter-team dependencies, and escalate issues when necessary
- Align product roadmap - Work with Product Manager/Global Advisor to refine and update product roadmap, aligned with the Management System Cycle (MSC) process to sequence and deliver business value/capabilities
- Change Management - Execute and support change management plans as directed by Global Advisors. Work with Business Analyst to support training, content development, and communications for Product(s).
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of natural gas scheduling experience
- Demonstrated full natural gas value chain understanding (trading, scheduling, risk exposure)
- Availability to travel a few times per year.
- Experience in understanding business needs, system capabilities and best approach to modify Organizational Capability (training), or process, or the system
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of natural gas scheduling experience; particularly in the Permian Basin
- Experience with Endur and/or other relative trade capture systems
- Team player and ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Digital mindset and innovative thinker
- Belief in getting results the right way
- Ability to evaluate offers and negotiate contracts to maximize customer value to Chevron.
