As the Manager, Tools and Products on the Investments Team, you'll help shape and lead those responsible for the internal tools supporting and enabling the Investments team to perform complex trading market modeling. As the Manager, Tools and Products on the Investments Team, you'll help shape and lead those responsible for the internal tools supporting and enabling the Investments team to perform complex trading market modeling. You'll guide the build out of proprietary tools and software to manage risk and P&L. You'll also play a critical role in helping to build and scale an investment platform at SeatGeek.
What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of small, medium, and large product & project initiatives, united under a clearly-articulated strategy
- Work closely with team members to align on business and product needs, and translate that into a long-term strategic roadmap
- Be the primary point of contact between the end-user Investment team and the Product/Data Science teams or other key stakeholders
- Partner with engineering managers on planning and project management
- Manage delivery-oriented junior and mid-level Project Managers and provide regular job performance feedback and career development support
- Build relationships with and manage stakeholders across the organization, developing an understanding of their priorities and pain points and partnering on solutions
- Play an active role in our recruiting process for [Investments - Tools and Products] roles as we grow our team
What you have
- Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering or related field
- Understanding of derivative pricing models and portfolio performance factors
- A proven track record of shipping internal use pricing, trading, or investment products, with at least 2+ years of product management experience and people management experience or 4+ years of product management experience, 1+ of which include significant exposure to pricing tools and API-based integrations with external products and applications
- Preference for previous experience with pricing derivatives (equities, rates, fx, or commodities) at a hedge fund, bank, or proprietary trading firm
- Intense curiosity about the technology that powers the products you work on and a deep level of data fluency
- Excellent communication skills. You can translate technical jargon into human-readable ideas and concepts (and vice versa), and are comfortable communicating anything from project status updates to long-term strategic plans to diverse audiences including senior leadership, stakeholders, and your peers
