About the Role
As a leader in the Product organization, you will own the roadmap that powers the seamless movement of money for our customers across the globe. This includes all the ways in which a customer can pay for sending money to their loved ones, and all the many ways in which recipients can get and use those funds. You will report into our Director of Product and work closely with engineering, finance, operations, compliance & marketing to build the most comprehensive, fastest & cost-efficient global money transfer service.
As Lead Product Manager - Payments, you'll get to:
- Lead, manage & mentor a team of highly skilled product managers
- Own the payments roadmap & associated KPIs to expand our global remittance platform
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering to plan & deliver multiple parallel projects, participating in all agile ceremonies from grooming the backlog to driving the daily scrums
- Develop new payments hypotheses through analysis of data, speaking with customers and tracking developments in the market and with competitors
- Deliver new payments initiatives by aligning stakeholders across the company, including executives, compliance, finance, operations and marketing
- Build relationships with payment and banking partners to understand their capabilities, and translate our needs into business cases, feature themes, product requirements and roadmaps.
- Identify and prioritize product and process improvements that drive better payment success rates and reduce time to settlement for a best-in-class customer experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 8+ years of product management experience; and 3+ years of experience in Payments, having shipped payment products (ach, debit, credit, zelle, push2card, apple/google pay, wire etc) and/or platforms
- Experience managing a team; including ownership of an engineering pod / squad
- Previous technical experience with partner integrations and payments on a global scale. Treasury or other regulated financial services use cases are a plus.
- Direct prior ownership of business and/or product KPIs, including identification & delivery of initiatives toward those KPIs
- Strong understanding of payment risks and ability to influence stakeholders
- Highly organized and detail oriented. Able to prioritize, track and manage delivery of multiple projects in parallel, including editing and aligning work of their direct reports
- Exemplary cross-functional verbal and written communication skills – able to clearly highlight progress and risks to senior management, and also provide guidance to product managers & developers
- An owner mentality. You don't just work on projects, you own outcomes. While you have many ideas, you run the most promising ones quickly to the ground.
- Highly analytical and quantitative, with a strong business acumen.
