Cox Communications is now hiring for a Lead Director of Product & Integration to join the Product and Technology team at Cox2M. Cox2M is a new Internet of Things (IoT) business line venture within Cox Communications.
The Cox2M Team's mission is to unleash the true potential of a connected world by enabling complete asset tracking and monitoring solutions, giving businesses and cities the data and tools they need to improve processes, realize operational efficiencies, and deliver better experiences to customers and residents.
About the Role:
Join the Product and Technology team of a dynamic, fast paced, venture where you will help manage and drive the product roadmap and customer integrations for Cox2M. Cox2M delivers end to end ground breaking solutions to a diverse set of customers in target verticals such as automotive, smart communities and agriculture.
The Product and Technology team is responsible for delivering solutions from conceptualization to launch and post-launch performance, spanning varying hardware, networks, platform and UIs.
Your role will be to define and manage the product roadmap for all of Cox2M by working closely with our vertically-focused Product & Integration Teams. You'll also work with the broader team to accelerate adoption and look for ways to optimize implementation and integration, ensuring the Cox2M team can continue to move fast, wow customers and deliver great solutions at scale. This position reports to the Cox2M Head of Product, Technology, and Innovation.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

  • Manage the coordination of our vertical-focused product roadmaps into a master Cox2M product roadmap.
  • Develop and use your cross-vertical product expertise to help support current customers and implementations.
  • Be a strong partner between the Product and Technology & Cox2M Business teams to develop a cohesive, global roadmap.


  • Become an expert in the Cox2M stack and solution suite, their points of integration, and what tech implementation challenges may arise in each point of integration.
  • Identify and develop processes and standards to help streamline customer integrations.
  • Implement modern, agile product management processes to help drive consistency and speed within the organization
  • Promote effective collection and analysis of IoT data, and data access to non-tech personnel, to strengthen a "data is king" mentality.
  • Design and implement feedback strategies which bring our customers closer.


  • Drive continual improvement in product management best practices and approaches.

  • Understands lean startup methodology principles and has experience applying these methods to prioritize and build solutions and services to meet customers' specific needs
  • Acts honestly and ethically in all business dealings, even if sales/profits are at stake. Keeps promises and commitments Cox2M makes in new verticals


QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum

  • BS/BA degree plus 10 years of experience in product management and/or product implementation. (MS + 8 years, PH.D. + 5 years or 14 years with no formal degree)
  • 5 years experience in a leadership role.
  • Prior start-up experience.


  • Experience managing a complex product roadmap in an agile development environment.
  • Experience implementing SaaS solutions that include hardware components / sensors.
  • Experience taking business requirements and turning them into user stories & acceptance criteria.


Preferred

  • Hands-on experience implementing process-changing technologies.


  • Experience building or improving change management and issue resolution processes.
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation, analytics, and machine learning tools.
