The IT Senior Product Manager owns, defines, and operationalizes products and programs to deliver a highly reliable system and IT support of that system. With the direct objective to scale our support efficiently, improve service delivery speed, and drive new innovations where applicable for our internal or external customers, this role is integral to the success of Ameris Bank's Financial Service Cloud implementation. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-impact projects, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints, as well as own requirements, specifications, and release plans.
  • Take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces to be delivered in a successful, agile, and timely manner.
  • Support the development of appropriate documentation and definition for business requirements as well as maintain a solid release deployment and post-deployment understanding.
  • Partner with strong technical leaders in Ameris and collaborate with the PMO to deliver strategic business objectives as well as ensure adherence to Ameris Bank's SDLC policy.
  • Jointly establish, practice, and enforce product development life cycle within the Core Apps team.
  • Be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
  • Give strong attention to detail and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a high level of maturity, judgment, negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrate analytical talent and intellectual thought leadership.
  • Serve as a key player with partner teams across the company, working to align interests and implement solutions.
  • Collaborate with our internal Learning and Development team to coordinate end user training as it relates to release functionality.
  • Be able to develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives and dig in on a detail level to get the job done.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

  • Possess a strong product management background and have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer experience intuition
  • Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into crisp, detailed product requirements
  • Proven ability to understand and solve complex business problems, leveraging your strong analytical skills and ability to dive deep, to create effective strategies
  • Proven ability to execute and deliver on strategic business objectives
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly written skills; writing a detailed narrative that can be explained and defended with the highest levels of senior leadership



Industry and Work Experience:

  • 8 years of experience in product management, technology (especially business requirements) product marketing, or business development
  • 5 years of experience with SDLC methodologies
    • Preferred experience with Jira or other SDLC related Issue tracking/Project management platform
  • Experience overseeing roadmap strategy, definition, and product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience contributing to discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Preferred experience with Agile or Kanban Project Management methodologies.
    • Scrum Master certification preferred



Academic:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in management information systems/finance/management/supply chain/economics/industrial engineering or related field preferred
    • CSM certification preferred
