Integrated Product Unit Leader

This position involves heading a team in the Electrification Smart Power in US. You will be leading a cross functional team and specialists to handle and coordinate customer on time delivery, support processes from customer inquiry to product delivery to after-sales service, to realize a complete sales process and to meet and exceed customer expectations. Responsible for the plan, schedule, assign work, and ensure activities are following company policies and procedures, and with codes and regulations. Monitor product quality and customer relations and initiate responsive measures, as applicable. Anticipate and introduce timely, effective actions to resolve problems by leveraging and leading the manufacturing team.Your focus will be on leading one of the 2 manufacturing product lines: Power Distribution Unit (PDU), Static Transfer Switch (STS).

Production Manager
Your responsibilities

• Creates, implements, and reviews customer service strategy. Works together with Production, Product Manager, and Sales Units to make optimization plan for the local product family to increase operational excellence and customer satisfaction in the delivery process of the product to the end customer
• Ensures achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focuses on achievement of inventory turn on finished goods, requested on-time delivery, and reducing cost of quality. This is accomplished by leading the cross functional team of dotted line reports from supporting departments
• Builds long-term and sustainable internal/external customer relationships, and prioritizes the work according to the defined criteria, to ensure consistent customer satisfaction
• Manages the production personnel and sub-suppliers. Ensures quality, volume and on-time delivery based on Business Unit standard and customer request. Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and directed
• Supports the health, safety, and environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations in the country in the area of responsibility. Personally, lives the ABB values and Group standards
• Implements and ensures compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies, and processes related to operations/project execution and shares functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization

Your background

• Associate degree AND 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment or preferred bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Personnel leadership and development acumen while demonstrating proficiency to effectively handle large volume multiple projects or tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong English written and spoken communication skills, as well as relationship-building skills.
• SalesForce.com, SAP, Concur, Kronos, and/or other ERP system experience a plus.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
