Job Description

As a Product Owner, HR Technology - HR Operations, you will have an impact on PayPal's use and implementation of HR software to solve complex business requirements. Our product owners work to better understand our customers internally and identify opportunities to improve our user experience by creating scalable and intuitive processes through our HR technology portfolio. If you have Workday experience with in-depth Core HCM, Security, and data mapping/conversion knowledge, then PayPal's Employee Experience Technology team is looking for you.

In your role as a product owner, you will:

  • Own the HR Operations product domain within Workday, SilkRoad, Salesforce, and/or ServiceNow
  • Support Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) activities, including coordination and execution of acquired Employees' Onboarding, data mapping/conversion to legacy PayPal systems, and data extraction of acquired HR Technology systems for records retention and system decommission
  • Work with our HR PMO, HR Business Partners, and other global partners to set a strategy and a vision consistent with PayPal corporate priorities for our HR technology solutions
  • Actively identify opportunities to improve our HR processes through technology
  • Understand both requested and non-requested needs, prioritize technology enhancement, and uncover opportunities for improvement and automation

  • Advise partners in our HR centers-of-excellence on technology capabilities
  • Be a conduit between the Business and IT teams to answer any questions or escalate issues as needed
  • Define and document end-to-end HR system improvements based on analysis to increase the workforce and stakeholder satisfactions with our HR technology solutions
  • Lead the ETX Tech teams and various cross-functional teams to ensure new processes, new platform functionalities, and integrations are properly tested and, where needed, documented
  • Create and maintain product roadmaps and backlog for products and services, including developing and prioritizing product proposals and user stories



Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on Workday configuration experience with a focus on Core, Security and M&A (e.g., data mapping and conversion)
  • Experience supporting HR lines of business, and identifying areas of opportunity for technology improvement
  • Strong understanding of SAAS solution RFP, implementation, and ongoing management
  • Experience analyzing business/employee needs, current market trends, and HR Tech systems and designing exceptional employee experiences.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field
  • Minimum 8-10 years' hands-on experience with HR Technology platforms
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly flexible, able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization.
  • Proven experience in a dynamic product management role overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
  • Team worker, responsible, delivery-oriented
  • Workday Pro Certifications a plus


Colorado Only: The pay range for this position in Colorado starts as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus or commission if a Sales role. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary. All PayPal employees are shareholders in our Company, so equity is part of our total compensation plan. This role is also eligible for health insurance, stock purchase plans, retirement savings benefits, stock awards, life insurance and disability benefits, and paid time off for sick leave, parental leave, vacation, and PTO.
