We're now looking for a Head of Product Management to join our leadership team at Level Ex.

At Level Ex, we advance the practice of medicine through play - using the technology and design from the consumer games industry to accelerate the adoption of new skills and treatments in medicine. To that end, we work with leading physicians, pharma companies, medical device companies, and organizations like NASA to help doctors and other medical professionals develop an intuitive understanding of complex systems.

Here you'll do things that have never been done before. Tapping into your extensive background in product management you'll be responsible for driving Level Ex's product roadmap, while crafting what the ideal product management function looks like in the first Medical Games Studio.

Reporting to the CEO, you'll ensure that Level Ex's products accomplish our company vision. You will manage a centralized product team of experienced product managers whose experience spans a range of industries: video games, medical device, and healthtech.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and inspire a team of experienced game and commercial product managers to create genre-defining games and commercial products
  • Lead the execution and evolvement of the product roadmap
  • Determine product processes for our company - ensuring that teams have the information and product definition that they need to be effective
  • Collaborate with Production and Design to establish feature sets and design vision
  • Set and validate product goals through end-user insights, competitive research, and quantitative player data.
  • Establish yourself and your team as subject matter experts - understanding market demands, technology trends, and the competitive landscape
  • Work closely with customers, ensuring the successful deployment of their projects and translating those experiences into case studies, new products, and processes

What You'll Bring

Your Background

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software or video game product management
  • 5+ years of experience managing a team of product managers
  • Strong philosophy and methodology of product management as a discipline independent of project management
  • Experience managing SaaS products sold to the enterprise
  • Experience working in at least one startup or small company (
  • Experience with product iteration using data from live products
  • Experience with live software products, and using data collected from those products to drive improvements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience

Who We Want To Meet

  • You are deeply intellectually curious
  • You have an entrepreneurial mentality - thriving in an ambiguous, blue ocean environment without fear of writing up a document or crafting a presentation.
  • You are process-oriented, but don't confuse meetings and paper-pushing for progress
  • You are fiercely dedicated to self-improvement and honing your craft of product management

Bonus Points

  • Experience in video games product management
  • Experience with the life science and/or medical device industries - either working in these industries or building solutions for them.
  • Computer science degree or technical background

An Insider's view of Level Ex

What are some social events your company does?

A few times a year, Level Ex has a company-wide game day. It’s a great way to allow co-workers that normally wouldn’t work together to meet and hang out. It also provides a way to explore different game mechanics in all types of games. I can have fun with a teammate in Boston and another in Colorado all while playing with local co-workers, too.

Curtis Schmidt

Director of Video Production

What does your typical day look like?

No day is exactly alike, which keeps work interesting! I interface with clients and physician advisors to identify any challenges for physicians to learn about a device, treatment solution, procedure, or medical topic. I also work with our internal design and dev team to create medically accurate experiences that satisfy physicians' learning needs.

Maggie Xing

Senior Biomedical Solution Specialist

What makes someone successful on your team?

What makes someone successful on my team is leaning into the interdisciplinary aspect of Level Ex’s culture and workflow. You really have to embrace learning from others and simultaneously enjoy teaching others about your own discipline. This building of collective knowledge not only makes this team successful, but also makes us unique.

Victoria Perizes

Senior Biomedical Solutions Specialist

What is your vision for the company?

The apex achievement in the video games industry isn’t just making a successful game - it’s establishing a genre. That’s what we’re doing at Level Ex - creating a new genre of medical games. We envision a world where games take their place as a fundamental force accelerating the adoption curve for skills and treatments in medicine.

Sam Glassenberg

Founder & CEO

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

I started at Level Ex a few years ago on the Medical team, focused on ensuring that we achieved clinical accuracy in all of the content in our enterprise games. Since then, I’ve served as a discipline lead and am now in the role of Product Manager, helping identify and build features that are valuable to our clients and end users.

Sam Dreyer

Product Manager
