About the role

We are seeking a passionate Growth Product Manager to lead our direct-to-consumer product retention strategy. Reporting to the VP Commercial Product Manager Consumer ELL, as Growth Product Manager you will work alongside product managers, engineers, data analysts, UX/UI, and sales and marketing teams to identify the biggest opportunities in the global language online and mobile learning space. You will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of key growth product initiatives that optimize Pearson's ELL direct-to-consumer experience and digital customer acquisition. Your main responsibility will be to determine and execute on the critical levers needed to drive product adoption and use. Working with cross-functional teams such as product management and technology, you will provide actionable insights through data analytics, pre-post analysis, data mining, and various financial models. The ideal candidate should be an independent, collaborative, solution-oriented performer, skilled and experienced with using data to drive growth and easily quantifiable business outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

  • Improve product experiences iteratively with speed
  • Define and develop KPI reporting
  • Build metrics into both existing and new data systems and reporting platforms
  • Partner with marketing to research and recommend USPs for marketing acquisition campaigns
  • Quantitative A/B testing on mobile and web product learning journey
  • Perform qualitative research and bring in customer insights to product development
  • Optimize support flows
  • Create standard and evolving reporting capabilities to support the product team and broader organization by providing access and transparency to critical data
  • Support the development of site analytics reporting using Google Analytics and Customer Data Platform to measure and understand consumer behavior on site, ranging from pathing and funnel analysis to product interaction; perform deep dive analyses to identify pain points within the mobile and online experience and work with product team to share results and implement related business solutions
  • Lead post-purchase product strategy development, executions and experiences
  • Measure customer sentiment through NPS, reviews, surveys and referral activity
  • Lead testing program from hypothesis development, experiment design, data gathering and data analysis
  • Ability to mine, extract and interpret consumer insights
  • Drive "hacker" mentality in product teams


About you

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in a quantitative or analytical role within ecommerce, consumer or marketing analytics.
  • Extensive experience in product management or educational technology
  • Experience in leading in-house staff, freelance writers, and editors
  • End-to-end digital project management experience
  • Demonstrated business product strategy expertise with a successful record of bringing new products to market
  • Success driving product adoption utilizing B2B and B2C strategies
  • Experience in education, learning, or assessment field preferred
  • Experience in agile product management methodologies


Skills/Attributes:

  • Experience with working on large multidimensional datasets
  • Google Analytics, QlikView, SQL/Other database
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point
  • Exposure to Customer Data Platforms
  • Strong ability to build relationships cross-departmentally to lead, engage and motivate a for top results
  • Build trust, positively influence others to achieve the expected results
  • Knowledge of digital learning design practices
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity while driving towards deadline
  • Sound business and technical acumen, with the ability to navigate a complex and highly matrixed organization effectively
  • Establish effective and positive communication lines to multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines, remaining pragmatic and results-focused
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
