As the Group Product Manager (Owner) for the FinTech area for easier credit application Approvals, Shopping and Buying experiences, take ownership and drive the roadmap, and lead a product owners/managers team, for building the most engaging and compelling experiences for our new and existing Consumers who are shopping for and buying Ford and Lincoln vehicles. You will launch driven differentiators that will grow Ford and Lincoln as the preferred choice for our customers. You will lead with deep customer empathy and rely on data and user research to make informed decisions with proven product instincts. You will own the teams and initiatives responsible for the'bread and butter of every consumer credit approval while shopping and purchasing vehicles, subscriptions, and accessories.

Through your leadership, you'll advise the strategy of your "Group" of Product Owners with a common overarching goal. You will demonstrate your technical expertise to identify setbacks and roadblocks within a project and generate solutions for resolving them quickly, build and run a product team to work with the best-suited engineers, and evaluate feedback from support teams to identify product errors and gaps. You'll also work closely with Product Owners in support of your product.

Your duties will include the responsibility to develop solutions and implement requirements to support the growth of Ford Credit worldwide. This includes launching and landing products and working closely with Engineering and other product areas to define the right structure to support our products.

As a Group Product Owner for Consumer - Easier Approval / Shop-Buy / Growth, you will play a leading role in accelerating Ford Credit's transition into a customer-centric organization. You will have global responsibility for improving the consumer experience by delivering innovative digital solutions that drive business growth and make the Shop-Buy experience a reason why consumers choose and stay with Ford.

What you'll be able to do:

  • Developing your teams to dynamically deliver
  • A tailored and streamlined digital application process supporting increased automatic approval rate for consumers, including ones who may be credit challenged
  • Easy Approval - Remove the need to apply for customers that we have learned to know so intimately that they do not need to provide information to have their financing approved
  • Ford Credit Business and Ford Sales growth:
    • Attract and finance new customers, including under-represented groups that are strategically important for Ford to grow sales
    • Grow the Ford share of existing customers
    • Grow Ford Credit's revenue stream and ancillary businesses (Insurance, Ford Interest Advantage, etc.).
    • Lead strategy and execution for the shopping/buying experience on multiple channels (web UI, App UI, digital shopping journey experiences at dealers, etc.)


The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or STEM-related field
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience
  • 2+ years proven track record writing business, tech requirements, using Rally, Jira, Visio, and Product Driven Organization operating model.
  • 1+ years of leading Software Product Teams

Our preferred requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or STEM-related field
  • Proven track record to build, evolving, and implementing product strategy bring to bear research, industry trends, data, and insights in an innovative and fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing software or internet products and technologies to define technical product features
  • Evidence of strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and ability to operate in a white space environment generating insights to build and tell a story
  • Experience in working in a matrixed team structure and influencing across product areas and multiple functional areas, including product ownership, engineering, User Experience (UX)/ User Insights (UI), sales, customer support, finance, or marketing
  • Experience with managing specifications for software developers
  • Previous success in product delivery working within an Agile Development Team.
  • Ability to care for, encourage and empower teams with varied strengths across all levels of the organization to achieve organizational objectives
  • Personally champion inclusion within teams through actions to fully engage teams who have a diverse group of backgrounds and experiences as well as leading teams with a diverse set of backgrounds in a technical division/organization to implement a shared vision
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise applications and their interdependencies and integration.
  • Ability to influence, persuade and be comfortable having difficult conversations with employees at all levels
  • Ability to work collaboratively and navigate sophisticated decision making in a constantly evolving environment
  • Strong cross-functional relationship building and communication skills
