Job Description As a Feature Product Owner / Business Analyst on the Assess Managment product team you will have accountability for the product - including the controls it upholds and risks it addresses - from supporting requirements gathering aligned to delivering the strategy, ensuring features are delivered, and supporting customer inquiries. You are expected to have subject matter expertise in all areas of business analysis, process definition, risk/controls analysis, backlog grooming/refinement, requirement gathering/definition, stakeholder management, communications, and user experience. It will be beneficial to have technical experience.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ensure end-to-end delivery of product roadmap and priorities with collaboration of cross functional teams; identify and communicate cross-team dependencies and risks
  • Identifies key decisions and builds internal consensus and alignment towards a recommended approach
  • Engages with and validates features to ensure client/customer and user problems are solved
  • Execute business and technical requirements analysis, definitions, and JIRA management; maintaining a healthy product backlog
  • Partner with engineering leads to ensure proper sprint planning
  • Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders and the team to specify epics and user stories with sufficient detail and acceptance criteria to ensure successful delivery
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, demonstrating the ability to prioritize issues and business as usual work alongside project deliverables appropriately and in alignment with the product roadmap
  • Manage key relationships and update stakeholders with timely progress reports, highlighting successes, delivery risks, and mitigation strategies
  • Manage all team requirements, escalating where there are gaps and delivering tactical and strategic remediation plans
  • Deliver process improvement through constant review both internally and with partner departments


Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of overall experience and 5+ years of hands-on product management or business analysis experience, technology consulting, or relevant transferrable skills
  • Proven ability to work in an extremely fast paced environment, meet deadlines, and perform at high standards with limited supervision
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills with experience communicating effectively with diverse audiences - across business and technology partners, including senior leadership
  • Results oriented self-starter, ready to challenge the status quo for continuous improvement and effectively solves problems and shares ideas for improvement with clear prioritization
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Quick learner and strategic thinker; makes appropriate business decisions and gains cooperation of others
  • Experience producing product artifacts, including product requirements, user journeys, high-level wire frames, etc.
  • Experience in driving a demise or modernization product is highly desired
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with a variety of partners and stakeholders
