Job Description:
The External Hosting product manager role is responsible for maximizing the value for our external hosting network (DMZ) product line including all network services required to support the Bank's externally facing hosting platform. Key responsibilities include defining the vision and roadmap for their products, defining and prioritizing the features/epics in the program backlog, and articulating this to both stakeholders and development teams. This role works closely with stakeholders to understand their needs to ensure they are aligned on priorities. They support and collaborate on financials throughout delivery. They are experts of the products, business or technology domain, and the industry in which the product competes as well as having a deep understanding of the product line financials and forward-looking book of work.
Key Responsibilities & Professional Competencies

• The External Hosting Product Manager is an expert of the products, business or technology domain and the industry for external hosting networking
• Define the vision and roadmap for the External Hosting based on customer requirements, industry trends, regulations, and the strategic direction for the business or technology domain. Define and drive product selection, RFx, etc.
• Ensure alignment across External Hosting roadmaps to achieve portfolio objectives
• Define and prioritize features/epics in the program backlog
• Articulate roadmaps and features to both stakeholders and A&E teams
• Represent product(s) within network services and to external consumers and stakeholders, e.g., GIS, Finance, Audit/Risk, Lines of Business
• Oversee the budget(s) for their product(s). Support and collaborate with the Senior Technology Executives, Finance and Economic teams on financials throughout delivery
• Continuously oversee product inventory, performance, risk and usage metrics, CAPM, error rates, etc. to monitor product health and make product lifecycle recommendations and decisions
• Accountable for all aspects of the lifecycle, risk and vulnerability of the External Hosting product

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a network engineer in LAN/WAN/routing/switching
• 5+ years of experience working as a networking SME with External Hosting connectivity
• Ability to produce clear written communications for diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to create and deliver persuasive presentations
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive consensus
• Knowledge of networking protocols to include: OSPF, ISIS, BGP, IP Multicast, VXLAN, MACSec
• Must have working experience in an Agile managed organization using products such as Jira, Kanban, Confluence and Horizon
• Excellent customer service skills including reporting, organization, written and oral communication and task prioritization
• Must have strong program management skills necessary to lead multi-discipline technology teams
• Must be a highly motivated, self-directed individual capable of supporting multiple large initiatives
• BA or BS in relevant field (e.g. Telecommunications, Information Security, Computer Science), or equivalent experience

Desired Skills

• 2+ years experience as a product manager
• Experience managing a product P&L and investment budget
• Experience setting product prices
• Experience creating multi-year/multi-generational roadmaps
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE routing certifications or equivalent
• CCSP and/or Azure Certifications (AZ-900/SC-900/AZ-500) preferred
• Network and security architecture experience within a large corporation is preferred
